tlong, quit being a dumb homer. I love the Jazz a lot, but I'm not going to go out there and call Ronnie Brewer a better shooting guard than Kobe. I understand that Joe Johnson and Roy are closer in terms of talent (although JJ kicks his ass in terms of toughness), but... just try be reasonable.
Are you prepared any player who is the leader of his team and has a winning record in the match-ups last season is better than Brandon Roy? Because if so, we should have a Roy v. Granger or Dunleavy and Roy v. Kevin Martin discussion next.
Sorry, but Roy is better. He is the epitome of a true leader.
B-Roy played in 74 games last year.
The Blazers' record in games that he missed was 1 - 7.
I'm a Brandon Roy fan. That being said, Joe Johnson no contest.
roy is on a team full of scrubs, how else can he score points?
Yep...that was pretty stupid.
johnson is a beast, but...Roy is young and was an all star his 2nd year.

B. ROY WAS ROY (2007)
Joe Johnson. Roy needs to get through a full season.
joe johnson is fukn overrated as , i dunnno why he gets all this hype around him? what playin for hawks and makn it to the olympic team? dude is a pussy who flew out east cause he cant compete in the west...
GINOBOLI owns his ass since his suns days..
tlong, you're burying yourself. this is an easy one...I 'like' Roy, but I have no problem saying that JJ is by FAR the better player. If Roy tries to evolve, he'll sabotage his team-but if he finds his way toward upping his team play, he'll probably find his team in the hunt.
Roy> Ginobili on last years All Star was a travesty by this league and coaches... Joe Johnson is the maximum you could get on a role player... i don't see any all star talent there...
You didn't watch the first round of the playoffs between Atlanta and Boston, did you? Joe Johnson went crazy on the best defense in the league in several of those games even when they doubled him and tried to deny him the ball. He arguably played better than Kobe did against Boston. No all star talent in Joe Johnson?
You obviously didn't watch the 05-06 season he had with Atlanta either. I don't know about you, but playing 40+ minutes a night in all 82 games with averages of 20+ ppg, 6.5 apg and 4.5 rpg seems a little too damn good for a "role player" if you ask me.
And that wasn't the travesty. The travesty was picking B-Roy over Deron Williams. (No matter how good Roy's December was)
What's funny is that the B-Roy performance in tlong's vid wasn't as good as Joe Johnson's performance in game 4 (or was it 6?). And that was against the champs. I didn't see Kobe do that either.

Damn this wasn't even close, with all of the talks about "Blazermania" and "Upcoming Dynasty of the Blazers" I thought more people would pick B-Roy. I hope Tlong doesn't take it too hard.
That's because they suck.
Why is this even a topic? The only thing that Roy has over JJ is defensive effort.
By tlong11's reasoning, Travis Outlaw must be better than Josh Smith, too.
Homer, homer, homer.
It's not my fault the majority of posters on this board are clueless.
ive been a blazers fan for years but easily joe johnson
