I didn't say he was worse than CNN or Olberman now did I?
Yes he sucks...yes he's better than anything on the other networks.
S'not hard to grasp.
Right, but you just said O'Reilly sucks ass and yet, he's 2nd in the rankings you posted. Obviously, the rankings don't say a thing about quality of programming.

Dan, why the are you posting Joe Scarborough's bio? My sentence was "Scarborough is on before anyone on the West coast can even see him and tweety, despite his occasional Republican talking point is a Democrat and has even run for political office as a Democrat.
Dan you do know that "Tweety" is the nickname for Chris Matthews, right?
Tweety is hardly a loyal democrat...
WikiAs a young man Matthews supported Barry Goldwater, but was inspired to become a Democrat by Eugene McCarthy's anti-Vietnam war platforms. When Matthews first arrived in Washington he was given a patronage job as an armed officer with the United States Capitol Police.[1] In Washington Matthews worked for four Democratic politicians. He worked in the U.S. Senate for five years on the staffs of Senators Frank Moss and Edmund Muskie before himself campaigning for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, losing his party's nomination to Pennsylvania Congressman Joshua Eilberg in the Democratic primary in 1974. Matthews received about 23% of the vote.[2] He was a presidential speechwriter for four years during the Carter administration. Matthews later worked six years as a top aide to long-time Speaker of the House of Representatives Tip O'Neill, playing a direct role in many key political battles with the Reagan administration.[3] Despite having worked for Democrats, Matthews said, "I'm more conservative than people think I am. ... I voted for George W. Bush in 2000."[4] Matthews has been accused of having panels of guests that skew to the right by liberal media watchdogs[5] and of supporting Republicans in his own questions and comments.[6][7] Conversely, he is also often criticized by conservatives for his opposition to the Iraq war among other stances he takes against the Bush administration. Conservative watchdog groups also accuse Matthews of constantly taking Democratic Party positions.[8] Matthews made repeated statements against the Bush administration's decision to go to war in Iraq[9] (examples include "George W. Bush disappointed a lot of us when he went to war...I voted for the guy in 2000."[citation needed] and "When are we going to get to vote against this damn war?"
You make it sound like Matthews is a hard-core liberal, which clearly isn't the case...all you have to do is ask any liberal about tweety's hard-core stance against immigration...
I'm not saying he's a hard core liberal. You were making the argument that he somehow provides balance to the MSNBC lineup and I was arguing that he's a Democrat and as such, doesn't really provide that much balance.
Look, I like MSNBC, but I realize what they are and don't hold them out to be anything more than a progressive version of Fox News.
MSNBC ??? the truth!!!![]()
I think in the evening MSNBC is obviously very very liberal. I mean they gave Madow a slot and they have Olberman right before her. Thats about as liberal as it can get on TV. Olberman has slowly turned me off. I still think he has entertainment value but as a newsshow I don't really go for it any longer. He's just too damn out in the open and adament with it.
I still think Madow is smart as but I can't really say I like the way her show is. I dunno, its just so meh. I have hope thoug, because I really enjoy Rachal Madow.
I still think Hardball is a good show. Matthews obviously leans torwards the left but I think he is one of the few who calls it like he sees it and I don't doubt he'd call out a dem if they were as re ed as Bush.
Scarbourough is good and I think his morning show is the best one by a mile. My standards for TV news have been lowered quite a bit, but I like the way they aproach things on that show - relatively.
I also think that with the exception of Crowley on CNN (Barbara something or another on CNN is also ok), MSNBC has by far the best big time reporters. Its not even close in that regard. I just can't stand CNN anymore and Fox ing sucks so bad so I'm kinda left watching MSNBC by default. I agree with Whottt, CNN has really digressed. I can't stand anyone they put on TV. Anderson Cooper is the only one that doesn't make my stomach turn but even he starts to ing grate on me.
I hate dis . Or dude. I haven't figured it out yet.
O'Reilly is a , but at least he'll have people on his show come on and debate him.
Olbermann just goes on his silly "Worst Peron in the World" rant.
I would pay money to see those two in a slap fight.
But that dude was pretty good on E.R.

yah he can be a but you have to give him props for being enthused on every show. i look at him more as a debator than a journalist

Ratings championship?
you, man.
don't kill the messenger.
Bill Oreily can clean the floor with his tongue bill is the biggest right wing nut job to hit fox news and its a shame that people turn to foxnews and watch him
Eh...he's not that right wing anymore. That's why Hannity is beginning to whip up on him.
tru hes a right wing independent who clames to be fair and balanced but its balanced to the right side
Clearly popularity equals substance and quality, not just hype......
Sincerely,
