Both Arenas and Tony Parker make you wonder if they're point guards or shooting guards in disguise like Allen Iverson. Tony Parker does set the table better than those other guys but his range is limited.

And alot of you question Tony's #5 ranking, I think it's because Tony's a useless shooter (outside of colored areas). Arenas and AI are both superior shooters to Tony Parker and that's why I think Arenas got the #3 spot (injury notwithstanding).

Even CP3's shaky outside jumper is still better than Tony's here today gone tomorrow jumper. All of the guys up to #7 can take and make pretty much any shot in the half court to win a game except for Tony.

they are if they trade arenas for a young stud
That has nothing to do with the initial contention.

That's a subjective opinion of an assertion.

They may have played at times better as a team. But, they are not a better team without Gilbert Arenas than they are with him.

And, for the long haul, especially during the playoffs, they certainly aren't a better team without him.
He's a great individual talent, no doubt. he can shoot the ball lights-out. he can win you ballgames on his own. but he is like mcgrady in that he fails to get his teammates in rhythm. in his blog, he practically said that's he's a stat stuffer when it comes to assists making sure he has enough and making sure his teammates make enough points. wizards may not be a better team overall without him, but they are certainly not way less.

3-0 TP in championships over several of the frauds above him and only Deron has actually outplayed him dominantly in a playoff series, when push came to shove TP out played CP last year and he has dominated Nash at times.

TP is a top three point guard period.

I see a lot of people are having problems with Arenas...but they shouldn't.

He's a franchise player. I would say Paul, Nash and Arenas are the only "franchise" point guards in the league.
