P.S. Kerry Collins is mediocre at best. But "mediocre" is better than "pathetic cringe-inducing train wreck," i.e., Vince Young.
Head to head: VY vs. KC
Cries like a little girl because playing in the NFL is hard:
VY: Yes
KC: No
Tells people he might commit suicide because not everybody in Nashville kisses his ass anymore:
VY: Yes
KC: No
Can't handle the adversity in that the game does not come easily to him anymore like it did in college:
VY: Yes
KC: No
Doesn't find any fun in the game and wants to quit if he can't be the hero:
VY: Yes
KC: No
Has to have his mommy step in for him and fend off the media:
VY: Yes
KC: No
The dumb opinion would be to keep gumballing VY after he has a nervous breakdown because he fails to handle the pressure every other starting QB in the NFL has to deal with. He's basically turning into Ryan Leaf, only with less screaming and more whimpering.
P.S. Kerry Collins is mediocre at best. But "mediocre" is better than "pathetic cringe-inducing train wreck," i.e., Vince Young.
Collins may not be god or even that good of a football player, but I'd rather give him credit than that sorry excuse for a qb from Texas.
I think the general consensus has been exactly the opposite.
lol broncos
ans D is another great example on how they know how to utilize their talent. You dont see them playing 10-12 yards off receivers. Take notes Phillips/Stewart.
Ryan Leaf? REALLY?!?
You just lost your credibility ES.
I wouldn't question ES's credibility when you think the ans would be this good with Young taking snaps.
Good thing we all can agree that Vince Young is the worst QB in football history. He's also the most disgusting human being to ever live.
Told his coach he wanted to quit on the team
VY: No
KC: Yes
Alcoholic
VY: No
KC: Yes
Racist
VY: No
KC: Yes
The dumb opinion is basing everything on one incident that the head coach even said was blown completely out of proportion. You have no idea what Vince really said or did. But we DO have proof of Kerry Collins publicly quitting on his team.
Just so you know, I will accept your apology and admission of having a stupid opinion when Vince gets his starting job back.
I don't recall that instance. What happened with that?
Kerry Collins used to be a big fan of the n word. I'll find the article.
It's true. I remember he had his redemption story during the Superbowl(Which the Raiders would have been in, if it wasn't for fat ass Siragusa)
Tony Siragusa. Two straight years of the Raiders being bull ted out of a Super Bowl, followed up with Al Davis getting rid of Gruden when they almost certainly would have won the SB that year had they kept him. Ugh...![]()
Yeah, that 3 year stretch was painful. Especially 2002, we would have ing beat the Steelers, then the Rams.
THE VY man love will never die im afraid. VY was a winner in college, in the pros not so much. That defense and Chris Johnson are the reason for the success.
VY man love?
Let's refrain from ignorance.
I merely made a statment, which was taken completely out of proportion.
The Ryan Leaf comment took everything to a new stratosphere.
Whether you would like to admit it or not, VY has had some success in the NFL. No, I'm not implying it's been entirely roses and daisies. However, I believe there's still potential to be tapped.
I'm not. He sucks.
If Vince would just have the green light to run once he sees an open lane, I don't think they realize how much simpler it will make the offense since the defense will have adjust to find a way to stop the run. It will open up the passing game for him immensely. If they give him his job back and just let him run when he wants, the ans will win the superbowl.
siragusa = E Honda
Collins had one of the more epic qb performances in NFL history in the Super Bowl.
Kerry Collins has been far from mediocre. On Sunday, he went up against arguably the best defenses in the league, and yet he kept them in the game and drove down the field 80 yards the last few minutes to win the game. Jeff Fisher doesn't need Kerry Collins to make the big play or put up huge numbers, they just want him to manage the game, and so far they're 4-0 with him as the starting QB. I'm a huge VY supporter, I'll admit, but I don't think given the same situation, he would've drove 80 yards the last few minutes of the game and won it for them. Right now Kerry is the answer, and hopefully VY learns from this experience.

So, when is Tennessee going to trade for Roy Williams?
He could be the final piece for their SB run.
I would love Roy Williams in a ans uniform, but I don't see a big name player being traded in the middle of the season, and even then, what would they give up?
