Manu should sit until he's completely healed (late December/early January), he'll have heavy load to lift after that and he should be 100%.

there's no way the West is as good as last year..Golden State is terrible..Denver is worse without Camby(even though he's overrated)..Portland is unproven..the West won't be as compe ive as last year..
I think it's the opposite, the West is going to be incredibly tough. Some of the top teams slid, but there will be more playoff bubble teams this year than last year which means your average regular season game will be tougher with fewer gimmes.

13 of 15 Western Teams will be Playoff contenders.

Warriors, Nuggets aren't as good but they'll be playing for a playoff spot.

Blazers, Grizzlies and Clippers are going to be tough as and in the Playoff bubble as well.

OKC Thunder should be challenging on any night... Minnesota has Kevin Love to join Al Jefferson and Ryan Gomes as one of the toughest front-courts.

Only the Kings really don't look like they'll be much of a threat.

    Only truly sucky team

I don't think you can count the primarily young teams like Portland, Memphis. They might be good, but all talent and no exp/saviness will take them nowhere. I think we have NO somewhat figured out. I can still see them wiping the floor with us at least once.

Memphis, OKC and Minnesota are completely irrelevant to me..

the Clippers are a huge ?..we'll see how Baron reacts to his new team..it might not be a good thing that he's playing in LA now, since he's been known to be Hollywood..it might get distracting for him..also, there team has a strange mix to it..we'll see how the chemistry works..obviously a playoff contender, but still a ?..

Or he could've gotten it operated in June after the playoffs and would be ready.

Aw but what the , who cares about starting out the gate without your second best player!!!
That was never going to happen. You, me and probably most fans would have liked for them to do some type of surgery once the playoffs ended, but it apparently was not an option. Had Manu chosen to rest it for the summer, he would have been ready for the start of the season...but the chances that ankle would have held up were slim and none. The Olympics were a blessing in disguise. Now, when he does come back, the chances of re-injury are lessened considerably, as well as the wear and tear of 82 games- the early season rest won't hurt. Manu does not do well with too many minutes. This could all work out very well in the end.
