Now biggems. Did we forget sarcasm?
NONE of yalls gay ass suggestions would have beat Texas. Terrell ing brown sacrificed his right forearm in an attempt to stop the greatest receiver of the year from scoring. Yes he failed, but that is but a taste of the dedication and heart our defense had that year.
We would have handed your team their taints if we played them. Not even close. VY best college player of all time, and if you don't know, now ya know .
Now biggems. Did we forget sarcasm?
UT 05 was a good and had loads of heart. and the fact that they beat "the greatest team of all time" means they are greater than the greatest team of all time. thus the longhorns are now the greatest team of all time.
If you want about greatness over a sustained period, it's got to be Columbia from 1983-88.

I'll go with the mid 90s Nebraska team with Tommie Frazier and Lawrence Phillips that just shredded up Danny Weurffel's Gators on their way to the le.
this question has been answered, espn declared O5 usc the best after a 4 week, 20 part series
Is that all UT fans have to bank on?
that was a great team and usually my pick as the best ever.
Nebraska and Phillips beat the Gators almost as bad as Phillips beat his ex-GF.
2005 USC Trojans. Texas should have never won that bowl game.
If present day Vince Young played for the Longhorns, USC would've blown them out.
1998 Tulane Green Wave
(lol I was going to school there that year)
That is what I said on the first page.................![]()
well then I agree with you
That team had way too many close calls leading up to the NT to be called that. I remember being down 21-3 going into half time vs ASU, and being down double digits almost every week going into half time. Once we played a top 10 team, they stepped up though. It's the same problem they have now. I remember watching them beat UCLA like 65-17.
2005 Texas Longhorns, end of discussion, end of debate, period.
It wasn't just Vince Young either.
Texas had the best 3 deep running backs corps in the nation(USC had the best 2 deep) featuring Selvin Young, Jamaal Charles and the 2nd best offensive player on that team Ramonce Taylor.
Not to mention 2 Thorpe award winners in the secondary and a linebacking group with no white guys
