Bass wasn't playing him all game. Now I'm not saying to stick Bass on him, but i do recall that there were several times in the game where it seemed like he was able to give Yao fits.

No matter who the mavs put on Yao whether it be damp, diop or bass, he is still going to go off. I never said Bass will contain Yao. Bass will make yao work on the defensive end and will do a better job of countering Yao's production than Diop or Damp would do. However I'm not saying play Bass 35+ minutes center against Yao, that would be insane....just saying playing him at center in spurts will help the mavs

FYI: I never mentioned the Nov game when Yao scored 30pts and on top of that Bass didnt play that game because of a sprained ankle

Bass will make yao work on the defensive end and will do a better job of countering Yao's production than Diop or Damp would do. Heres the prediction tho: if Bass does go off with his jumpers, Skip2MyLou will come over and double team Bass because Jason Kidd cant shoot a jumper to save his life

The one shot that J-Kidd can shoot is the spot up 3....anything off the dribble or within the 3 point line has no chance

2 things...

1. Steven Jackson isn't a scrub, but I understood your point, although Jackson didn't defend him straight up. That is one of the most overrated defensive jobs of all time. The double teams is what gave Dirk problems. They were doubling him every time he touched the ball.

2. Jason Kidd can't shoot midrange for crap, but he sure as can hit an open 3. You better hope they respect his 3 ball.
