    This group of guys 1) overacheived greatly in 2006 which led to unrealistic expectations, and 2) have failed so much together that they embrace failure.

    Donnie Nelson's actual offseason

    1. Keep this team of flunkies.
    2. Make excuses for Josh Howard.
    3. Blame everything on Avery.

    Dirk's a Top 10 player, one of the best PFs in the league. If anything, get rid of Terry, Stackhouse, and Howard, and build around the German.

    But it's early in the season, and they have a new coach. We might see a different Mavs team by midseason.
