First of all, I dont think we would have to pay him that much. Secondly, he is loads better than anyone we have right now besides Tim. If Parker and Manu were healthy......maybe those two as well.
He is still on the Knicks and they obviously have no intention on buying him out so tell me exactly why they wouldn't have to pay him that much?

And you must not have watched many games these past few years if you think Marbury is even "maybe" better than Parker and Manu.

To be fair, who has watched a lot of Knicks games in the past several years?

If the Spurs land this guy, it would be a desperation move... we don't really need Marbury.

I'd like Marbury at the right price. I think he and Duncan got along well in 2004 on the Olympic team. They may not have had an awesome record that summer but the team did form a kind of bond through adversity.

"The right price" = one extra roster slot and a moneyback guarantee.

Can he block shots, defend big guys and rebound? No? Then why the would the Spurs want him?
Because he would be the 2nd best player on the team currently playing... for the minimum?

Actually, when Marbury was still in Phoenix a few seasons ago, Parker could not guard Marbury to save his life. Marbury destroyed him. They would frequently try to guard him with Bowen because Parker just couldn't handle his strong drives.

Right, seeing as how we have Jacque Vaughn and George Hill. We don't really need any help at the point guard spot. Come on man, we're 2-5. We're fine!

Other than Tim Duncan our guys cant shoot worth a damn!!! Finley did well, but he will soon go 0-15, since he is so erratic. I watched clank after clank after clank last night.......I mean WTF is the problem? I used to think Ime could shoot, not anymore. He had WIDE open looks and clanked them. Could we please get a good shooter in house!!!!!!! I will take Marbury right now....cancer or not.

OK......Ive vented. Im ok now. I promise.
When you're desperate enough to beg for Marbury to come and rescue your team, you know it's over. Nice run, Spurms. Enjoy mediocrity for a few years.

Marbury would be the final nail in the Spurs season. Don't do it.

I don't know what's sadder, that you think he's a good player or that you think he'd play for the minimum.

I could see Marbury playing well with Duncan and Ginobili, but where Parker fit in the whole mix?

You're right, a 20 and 8 player that's 30-years-old isn't good. My fault. Let's keep Jacque Vaughn, it's working out great so far. And who is going to pay him more than the minimum if he is bought out?

Parker wasn't even close to his prime back then and couldn't defend anyone to save his life.

There is no way Marbury is better than Parker.

Not now, Marbury is out of his prime and Parker is in his. That's obvious.
