Just make sure it's a feral hog and not a javalina. It is illegal to sell wildlife, but feral hogs aren't considered wildlife.

You need a large caliber bullet to stop a wild hog. You have to stop these little piggy's in their tracks because if you wound one they will come after you! It wont be something you will ever forget.

i ended up getting a 12 ga shotgun magnum automatic with the 3-1/2" steel loads...it holds 4 rounds in the and another in the chamber. i was practing shooting posts and cans last night...

Good choice on the shotgun, but go with #4 buckshot (lead).

I've killed more hogs with a .22 than anything else. Stick it in their ear and they just fall over dead.

Any of the recommended weapons here will kill a pig... but if I could make a suggestion... please go to a friend that knows about guns and get a quick rundown on how to use one. If you don't, you are in more danger from yourself than a hog.

(and honestly you aren't in any danger from the hog anyway)
