It isn't about excuses. That has nothing to do with the point he was making. The point is that you cannot beat a full-strength Spurs team. Beating us without our 3rd best player and best clutch player means very little early in the regular season. Ask the Nuggets about reg. season success against the Spurs. You guys got a huge run to start the game and then got outplayed the rest of the way. Your team might be marginally better than the one we destroyed in 5 last year. This Spurs team is a LOT better with Mason and Hill rounding out our backcourt. I don't think we'd sweep the Suns this year, but I don't think the series would go past 5 again if we meet in the PO.
Which, by the way... you're the #9 seed now. Forget about beating us in the playoffs. You better worry about the Spurs IF you make it into the postseason.
