It wasn't a record loss.
history has already forgotten about the 2008 Lakers, other than that record loss in the Finals
It wasn't a record loss.
On June 17, 2008 in the 2008 NBA Finals, the Boston Celtics defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 131-92 to win the series 4-2 and win a record-setting 17th NBA Championship. The final score was the largest ever in a game clinching win in NBA Finals History and the 2nd largest margin of victory.
It was the 2nd worst loss, yes. Not the worst. And at least the Lakers made it there. You don't get to talk , WCF virgin.
That is correct, the margin of victory was only 2nd worst (best?). I guess that the more appropriate statement would be that the Lakers played the worst "D" in NBA finals history?
The Hornets played very well and finally Dwest played like an allstar versus the Lakers. When both Cpaul and Dwest are playing this caliber you won't stop them.
hey nothing special about the hornets, they just beat a lottery team and made some shots. u know, the lakers arent expected to make the playoffs anyways.
Lakers>>>>Hornets
1983 LA Raiders>>>SAINTS FRANCHISE
USC>>>LSU
LAKERS2009 NBA CHAMPIONS
True
Ooooooohh BURN!!! GOOD ONE! Your only one of oh...every NFL team on the planet not named the Detroit Lions that can say that!
Well at least until tomorrow night.
Spurs fan doesn't get to talk either. You lost 4-1 TO the Lakers.
this is not a thread about the spurs or their fans
I am not talking , I am correcting that person's statement and agreeing with the other lakers fan.
What bowl did LSU play in this year LOL??
They've only been in the WC for what, 4 years?
Really, friend...all you do is bait people into argument and then accuse them of being irrational without throwing any statistics into your own argument other than 4-1, or Lakers>>>>Hornets>Spurs. Or you make predictions based on your own Lakers chauvinism. You are on a Spurs board (ultimately). We feel slighted and bitter towards your team. Do you not understand that your chest pounding brand of posting does not inspire intelligent response? You seem smart/apt enough (aside from the whole 'Lakers fan' deal).

Raiders or bust for LA. the Saints, Chargers or Jags. If they come, it's just a closer drive for a Raider game.
And worst loss in a CLOSING GAME. An NBA Record. And where was I talking ? I was just correcting someone. Didn't realize bringing up facts and figures was talking now. Awesome.
My bad I also didn't realize that the current year cancels out everything from the previous years. OMG! LOL!!111!!!!
Your team didn't win . You finished empty handed just like the Spurs, so we get to talk all the we want.
Chick-fil-A Bowl (formerly the Peach Bowl)
LSU finished the year 8-5, not bad considering they lost their QB in the spring.
They also lost a couple games on last second plays..but hey...woulda, coulda, shoulda
