As a Spurs fan, I'm not going to worry about catching the Lakers. I want the Spurs to play well yet continue to improve, stay healthy, win and do so consistently. Things will fall into place if it's meant to be.![]()

Yeah you guys didn't want that 1st seed anyways. Worry about winning your division before any delusions of grandeur (like the 1 seed or actually beating the Lakers in the playoffs.
Listen up Spurfan, Lakerfan is a specialist on "delusions of grandeur"
West playoff race is tight as of now. Spurs are in the 2/3 playoff seed right now. And, the Jazz aren't even in the playoffs right now but only 3 games behind the Spurs. 9 teams all pretty similarly compe ive for those 8 playoff spots. Chances are though, one or two of those teams catch an unlucky break with an injury or losing streak. It may have happened with Carmelo and Anthony already. There will be at least one very good team, possibly two, in the Western Conference that will once again miss the playoffs.
Hey son The Suns that lost to Indiana![]()
Glad you aren't a Spurs fan anymore. Nick Cage is one of worst actors ever. I bet he is a Mavs fan too.
Doesn't matter to me whether they are the #1 seed or not....so long as the Spurs make the playoffs and they go from there. I don't know if they won any of their championships this decade as a #1 seed.
The Lakers need to take care of their business. Beating the Spurs isn't easy but it's certainly doable.
Just be patient and pay attention to detail and maybe the Lakers can get back to being a championship team. It's been a few years since they won a championship. Spurs fans have enjoyed celebrating 3 NBA les since the Lakers last tasted success in the Finals. In San Antonio, there is no sense of pride in calling their team The Penultimates, The Second Placers, or The Almosters, or The We Beat The _______ Last Year, HaHas.
It's been since 2001-02 since Kobe's team won a championship. The clock is ticking, time is moving on. Kobe's ovaries aren't going to be producing forever. Tick, Tick, Tick....
The Lakers will probably hold onto the # 1 seed, with the Spurs getting # 2.
But the Lakers are seriousely over-rated. They will likely get bumped off in the second round by a young upstart team like the Hornets, giving the home court to the Spurs.
The Lakers have been successful in pretty much every decade since the NBA started. They have 14 rings and the most Finals appearances of any team.
Spurs fan doesn't get to talk to Laker fan about championships. 14 >>>> 4.
This doesn't have any relation to spurs being behind the lakers by 5 games.
What's the schedule in the WCF? 2-3-2?
if you had some common sense you will remember that the Spurs have been playing in the NBA for about 32 years and the lakers have been playing for ever may be since basketball was invented so if we had the same playing decades in the NBA probably we would have the same championship so don't throw that of 14 to 4 rings because that doesn't cut it.![]()
most of those lakers championships were in the 50s when the league was extremely weak and hardly had any compe ion.
Fixed
The play stands as called on the field.
The Flakers!!!!!!!!!!!!
Puro San Anto 210!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
+ 245000
Lakers' first year: 1947
Spurs first year: 1973
So 26 more years as a franchise. Lakers fans should keep in mind that they've classically had the 'best players that money can buy', and the Spurs have been working under funded (by NBA standards) since their conception. Four rings for the only former ABA franchise to win a le? Not bad for a small market, working class team.
Hmm, most finals of any team, and not most championships...
Spurs are 4-0 in Finals.
+1
Lakers bandwagoners(which is to say all of their fans) show know that the Phil owning Pop in the playoffs is bull . Phil has consistently more to work with, and Horry himself had stated that if Pop had been coaching the Lakers with Shaq and Kobe together, they would've won alot more championships.
Hope Pop shelves his CIA training and pulls out all the stops.
The Spurs have had David Robinson, Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, and Tony Parker.
All 4 of those players are legitimate superstar talent. Don't give me this BS that the Spurs never had any talent to work with. The bottom line is you don't win championships in this league without superstar talent, the only team to do so in recent history is the Detroit Pistons and they had All-Stars at probably every starting position.
And the Lakers have 9 rings since moving to LA. 5 in the 80's, 1 in the 70's, and 3 in the 2000's. That's consistently winning in just about every decade. The Lakers have the best winning percentage of any NBA team in history, they have the most Finals appearances, and outside of the Celtics they have the second greatest number of rings. They have absolutely nothing to prove to the Spurs, who they have consistently trashed in the playoffs.
Q-What has a Kobe Bryant-led Laker team ever won?
A-Not jack .
Q-Has Phil Jackson EVER won a le without having 2 of the best players at their positions?
A-He's NEVER won a le with only having 1 superstar.
MJ & Scottie in Chi-town, Shaq & Bean in LA.
And Spurs fans don't have to bow down to purple and piss-gold dog . RECOGNIZE...Since 2002, what have the Lakers won again?
And your name is Dazed and Confused? Hey...you're aptly named.
