but Danilo, their bigs still suck. No depth at C behind Shaq. that wasn't an issue when D'antoni knew how to coach with Amare at center, but now they have a coach who doesn't know how to coach period.
Wow! That's a strong criticism of Porter. Basically, the Suns doing a 180 degree shift in style. That said, it does take time to see benefits from such a drastic strategy shift. Why are you so down on him? Do other Suns fans and players feel that way, too?

A growing number of Suns fans feel the same way. I'm not saying D'antoni was a great coach or anything, but Porter is a lot worse.

I know the story is they are trying to play more like the Spurs, and I'm tired of hearing that, cause they aren't. The "drastic strategy shift" you speak of is what I looked forward to but they are still the same no defense Suns. All the things Kerr said Porter would do that D'antoni didn't do were bull . He is even worse at holding players accountable, worse at using the bench, and has already lost the locker room.

He's also just a complete idiot when I hear him talk. He's a monotone and he mumbles, he's like Melvin from office space, the "I believe you have my stapler" guy.

Yup. Lindsay Hunter was a free agent when the season started, so rather than sign the perfect fit as back PG, Kerr lets him go to the Bulls because Dragic is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good.

maybe selling/trading your draft pick isnt the best idea
their picks have been used for sergio Rodriguez, rudy fernandez, nate robinson, and rajon rondo...and none of them have played for the sons

Phoenix has done a piss-poor job recognizing what they can burden their rookies with. Robin's development always lagged behind his brother, but he showed great improvement later in his final season with Stanford. They should have realized his learning curve in the NBA would be steeper. Couple that with the Dragic situation and you get a feel for how incompetent they've been with talent evaluation.

Strong stuff. I understand that Porter recently relented and allowed them to "run" more than he did at the beginning of the season. How's that working out?

I know they're only 1/3 of the way through this season, but are the natives getting restless? Any talk of Kerr and/or Porter being on the hot seat?

I look forward to watching the Suns against the Mavs tonight.

Here's the problem with "running". If the Suns were able to selectively run like the Spurs, then it would be alright. Unfortunately, by letting them "run", Nash Amare and Barbosa interpret that as, "YAY, NO DEFENSE!!!"

Porter's job is safe for at least this year. Kerr's job is safe for awhile given the fact he is a minority owner of the team and he and Sarver have been friends since college. David Griffin, the vice president of the team, might be next to go and rightfully so. The guy is an idiot and thinks he's the next RC Buhford.

He's actually coordinated as and athletic, that's where he differs from most white players. If he's used correctly he's a great guy to have on a team for spot minutes.

I know, his foul:rebound ratio is now >1. S-T-U-D. I wish the Suns just had a competent coach so games like this would happen more often.
