Lakers lose in a blowout. Spurs are pumped and out for revenge, Lakers are a bit tired...not a good combination.

Spurs SHOULD win this game, and I would be dissapointed with even a close loss..

Tony needs to have a big game and attack the Lakers weakness..

try to contain Kobe as much as possible, because that's what the Lakers need when they've been playing on the road..Kobe, Kobe, Kobe..

And on ST, FTL = The Lakers
I figured that part out later, but when I read the initial post, I looked like this:

All in good fun, all in good fun.

this spurs win will affect the lakers the way the lakers affected the celtics. i'm going to hype it up so much that anything short of a win will be devastating. this is the one spurs game other than the Christmas one that i have been looking forward to. spurs have a dismal record against potential conference contenders like the magic and hornets. spurs have not yet played the lakers, cavs, and celtics. it's time to turn it around.

Nothing, but they will really need some extra help from the officials tonight... it's a B2B for them, and they have some injuries.

Yeah thats gonna be a pisser.

This game for the Spurs should be a win, but knowing them and their january malaize, they will probobly lose. Spurstalk will make cherynoble look like a candle, and life will be chaos.

If they switch Ariza to Parker, go with the Parker/Hill combo. DFish has lost too many steps for either of them.

LOL at yall underestimating DFISH just watched game 5 on NBATV and they showing it AGAIN on ESPN CLASSIC i can never get enough of that game ...
Kobe with a dagger (Kobe shows his swagger)
Duncan with the incredible fall away (SPurs counting their chickens)
Fisher with the prayer and the miracle!!!!
the looks on Bowen's and Duncan's face was priceless ...also dumbass DOc saying the spurs went from down 2-3 to up 3-2 on Duncan's amazing shot was too funny (though he did say .4 is enough to get a shot off but even HE thought the Laker's goose was cooked)

Bottom line a win should be the Spurs (injuries, tired legs, HCA) but just like the Lakers over Celts on XMAS day ...doesnt erase who won in the playoffs last year ...the spurs win on XMAS did mean more BECAUSE they continued a trend of ripping the suns hearts out when it matters most ...

I expect and 8 to 10 point loss tonight ...BUT if you guys don't get that I'll be damn proud ...im going to the game tonight first one at aT&T let's hope for a good game either way ...

Not sayin Fisher isn't a killer shotmaker, but that was lightning in a bottle. And he wasn't that quick even 4 years ago.

I'd be surprised if he had the quickness to keep up with our young rook (provided GHill is being agressive enough to test Fich) .

See Marion, Shawn during our Sun-ownage of the last few years.

Parker is too quick even for the longest and quickest of the Long 3's... Ariza included. It's no knock, Ariza gives me chills with his athleticism. But he's not the Parker stopper.

i expect us to lose. second night of a back to back and injuries leaving kobe and fish to all play 45 min a game. thats just not very good no matter how much conditioning you have. it will be close and in the 4th kobe will shoot jumpers and they will be short due to tired legs.

    Game blog: Spurs vs. Lakers
    By Joe Alexander

One of the best rivalries in the Western Conference over the last decade is renewed when the Spurs host the Los Angeles Lakers tonight at the AT&T Center.

The Spurs haven't played the Lakers yet this season, so this is their first meeting since the 2008 Western Conference Finals.

The Spurs have won 9 of their last 11 games. They are coming off a 105-98 loss to the Orlando Magic on Sunday. By the way, the Magic followed their hot outside shooting against the Spurs by making 23 of 37 from 3-point range in a 139-107 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday.

The Lakers are in the second game of a back-to-back. They beat the Rockets 105-100 on Tuesday night in Houston. The Lakers got the go-ahead basket on a 3-pointer from, who else, Kobe Bryant in the final minute of the game.

According to the Lakers gameday preview on NBA.com, the Lakers' Jordan Farmar and Luke Walton are out with injuries and Sasha Vujacic is doubtful.

The Lakers have won four in a row and 10 of their last 11. Like the Spurs, the Lakers have been pulling out close games. They beat the Miami Heat 108-105 on Sunday and beat the Indiana Pacers 121-119 last week.

Here is the latest from Laker land media:

    Mike Bresnahan, Los Angeles Times
Someone finally left the Lakers' injured list instead of joining it. Lamar Odom was back after a three-game absence, collecting 10 points, four rebounds and four assists in the Lakers' 105-100 victory Tuesday over the Houston Rockets.

    Mike Bresnahan, Los Angeles Times
Kobe Bryant again unfurled a memorable fourth quarter, scoring 13 points and putting a final dent in the Houston Rockets with a late, long three-pointer in a 105-100 victory Tuesday at Toyota Center.
    http://www.latimes.com/sports/basket...,7732135.story

Ramona Shelburne, Los Angeles Daily News
In Derek Fisher's mind, slowly losing his game as he played into his 30s and drifting into the creaky twilight years of an NBA career didn't have to be.
