His numbers look good enough to retire his jersey in the SBC. A few more games like this and he will pass Avery.
15 minutes
6 points 6 boards.
Add 14 more minutes and its 10 and 10.

Tpark, it's funny you going around calling everyone a hater...take a look around, the only one doing any hating is you.
And Malik would have lead the Spurs in steals tonight! Both his steals came off of Kobe!

Funny, I thought I was praising Nazr Mohammed.
Guess I should recheck my spelling.
lol, Rose-colored lenses indeed.
Rose in his first game as a Knick>Mohammed in his first game as a Spur...
just sayin'
I actually haven't seen either one of them play for their new team yet.

Who are you kidding?
Don't think I've missed those shots you been taking at Malik in other threads.
2 points 8 rebounds is better than 6 and 6?
Seems pretty even up to me.
Whatever. Rose colored indeed.
If Nazr averages 10 and 10, I'll give you my two season tickets for the first round of the playoffs. If he doesn't, you change your avatar to be of Malik Rose.
Deal?
I know Malik was impressive in his first game which I didn't see.
I did see tonight's game; it was your typical other-side-of-the-coin game from Malik. Nothing we haven't seen before.

Oh im sorry, ill not say anything bad about him again.
Heaven forbid. off.
Good showing by Nazr. He was pretty much what I expected ... good rebounder, decent O game around the basket. If he can stay out of foul trouble, pick up the Spurs D and not try too much offensively, he should be a solid contributor in 15-20mpg.
I just think it's funny that you were calling him a cancer and then turned around and said you weren't hating.
Rose was in foul trouble all night tonight.
In the reports I got from Knicks fans they said he gets a lot of stupid fouls and is in foul trouble a lot...that's probably his biggest weakness other than not rotating to help on D.
But I don't see that being a big deal if he is in a backup role. Malik could be pretty foul prone too(in fact he was tonight).
They said the best thing about him was his o rebounding and garbage work.
As long as Nazr never shoots a jumper and sticks to the garbage points, he'll be fine. He looks bigger than I imagined, but his legs are pretty skinny. He's a top-heavy player, which means he probably won't be much of a post presence.
As long as he goes out and rebounds and plays D, I'll be happy. If he averages seven points and five rebounds, I'd be thrilled.
I think you let him have hook shots, and other shots around the basket.
I think 8 and 8 10 and 8 is well within reason.
He looked pretty good for only 2 practices and 2 games, 1 played in.
link to where I said that please....were calling him a cancer
The way the Knicks fans described him, his skills...they sounded like a lot of the reasons I wanted Elton Brand...o boards and garbage work.
It's important to note that the Knicks fans also said he wasn't lazy, they said he doesn't work as hard as Malik does(based on what they had seen)...but he's not a lazy player he just doesn't know how to play NBA D really.
I'm hoping that's just a product of the systems he's been in, not his inability to learn.he just doesn't know how to play NBA D really
If thats the case, he will flourish tremendously in this system.
Give him a couple weeks of teaching how to play D on this team, be a good player.
That might be a decent comparison.
Elton has a better jumper, but if Nazr can score like Elton, hook shots, in close shots and what not, and do the other stuff, wow, thats like gettting the player you wanted last summer...
Seeing as he was 310lbs when he first went to Kentucky, I'm going to assume that he at least works decently hard to stay in shape. He does have alot to learn about Spurs D.
When he badly missed that one turn around jumper and then airballed his next turn around jumper, I had a bad flashback of ...

Well, Tim might have to play the high post when Nazr is out there. More than doable.
Nazr Mohammed is 5 times the player that in stiff is.
