American fans... where overrating individual stats, particularly scoring, happens.

Granger has developed into a great scorer. As an offensive player, give me Mike Dunleavy Jr. over him every day. As overall players, Pierce and Butler are better.

A few years ago, Pierce was a more statistically productive player than Granger is now. But I prefer the current Pierce by far.

Eric Snow was on NBA TV today, and when the topic of Danny Granger being an All-Star came up, He said he doesn’t deserve to make it, based on his teams record.
That's stupid logic. So Barry Sanders didn't deserve to go to the Pro Bowl because the Lions sucked?

no . Basketball is about winning games not racking up statistics. Of course you cant say a 5 PPG guy is better than a 20 PPG guy, but we all know Pierce can put up 25-7-5 like hes done his entire career as the man. He shouldnt be punished for having other stars around him.

    Pierce > Granger

    Granger > Lewis.

Danny Granger is most deserving out of the 3.

Paul Pierce is great, but he plays with KG and Ray Allen.
Rashard Lewis? Jameer Nelson is who I would pick besides Howard from the Magic.
So, if Pierce wasn't playing with KG and Allen and still putting a 26/7/5/58TS%, he'd deserve to go?

I mean, Granger can improve in the next years (it wouldn't be surprising, that guy is a workhorse) but if he's unlucky and Bird get him better teammates, he won't deserve to go anymore! Nice logic.

p.s. - I don't care about who goes to the ASG, I just hope KG/PP/RA don't go and get a rest instead and I don't even get the concept of the ASG as a meritocracy. But to see players being underrated when they improve their game because they're less productive in fantasy leagues is laughable.

Snow is just about the worst commentator I have ever heard. I try not to listen to anything he has to say. As smart as he was on the court, he's the complete oposite on that show.

    And Granger is the shiiiiiit.

Arguments like Snow's are the same ones the re media used to give Nash the MVP in '06 when Kobe Bryant dropped 35 a game and was unquestionably the best player in the league.

RW/JJ/Allen/PP/Granger/JO/VC should be selected to the all-star game but not as line-ups, I don't think there is any need for me to repeat the line-ups here.

PP is not a though he's the "least nonathletic superstar" in NBA, but rashard lewis is different. Lewis is a pretty good player and a semi all-star, but I would list him with tmac as the most ty players considering his unbelievable big garbage contract.
