I was a spursreport addict (found it through woai's website where I went to read news), it was very big, lots of activity and I thought it was great. Then they went down for a period of a few weeks at the time when WOAI was taking over the administration of the site. I got tired of going to the site and finding it was still not up. Going through withdrawals I started googling to see if another such Spurs forum existed, and found Spurstalk. At the time they were about 50-50 in traffic but slowly over the years I have found that the traffic has shifted to about 80-20 in ST's favor. I remember at the time thinking it was funny because someone was cheering about how Tim Duncan was doing so well and made a post that said *****! *****! Then his next post was "why does it blank it out when I type T I M V P?" Then I asked the same question. One of the Admins said it was because there was someone from "another forum" that has that name who comes over and causes a lot of trouble. I remember thinking it was a bit strange.

Its been almost four and a half years I've been hanging around here. I honestly can't remember how I found it. Good thing I did though, otherwise I wouldn't know how to waste my extra time so thoroughly

I was house-hunting in SA on the day of the 2003 river parade and pretty much decided I hated how this town revolved around that stupid team. Then in the fall I went with my son's Cub Scout troop to see the Spurs vs. Suns and I was hooked! That night I stayed up all night Googling and reading everything I could find about the Spurs and ST was the only place I kept coming back to after that. I lurked for about 2 years before I joined.

i used to participate on the old WOAI message board. At least that's how I used to access the message board. Then suddenly it disappeared. Tried looking for it with no luck, and then through a google search, I think, I stumbled on Spurstalk. Been a regular poster ever since!

I had been kicked from clutchfans a couple of times but I always managed to re-register a new member name to re-join everytime I was kicked. Finally I pissed off clutch and sequently got my ID banned as a result.

I have been a member of mavsfriend.com for years but this forum really sucks compared to clutchfans. I felt pretty frustrated for a while after clutch banned me, until I found spurstalk which is way better than clutchfans.

You've got to be banned if you say a dirty word on clutchfans, or say something against the rockets team, like "rockets suck". but you'll never be banned even if you abuse the spurs directly, as Spork KIller always does. I hope spurstalk is gonna become the largest forum after our IPs are all banned by other forums.

I thought you said you were an alien out of this world? Clearly him banning your IP adress is nothing compare to what you can do with your powers right?

I've known Kori and timvp for a long time from the old SpursReport board (and maybe from WOAI too, way back in the day), and wondered what the happened one day when they all of a sudden disappeared. I got an email from timvp I guess a few weeks after he and Kori started FSP up. I joined immediately and saw it was already the best basketball forum on the WWW, even in its fledgling state.
