they both should thank CP3 for their trophy
His team is on pace for the lottery, despite playing with 2 All-NBAers, one being a former MVP.
suns should buy out shaq! if the do you KNOW shaq is gonna wanna come back to la. he wants just damn jersey retired. imagine shaq off the bench with pau bynum and lamar rotating the 4-5. holy
Anyone who watches the NBA already knew that the MVP's were already chosen. If the East won - it would be Lebron; if the West won - it would be Kobe. But since Shaq had a good game and he was with the "home team", the marketing people just couldn't resist the buzz of having the two sworn enemies share the trophy.
Their post-game interview was pretty painful - you could tell they weren't happy about sharing the trophy; and they weren't too pleased with the question either!
"O'Neal won the media vote, 5-4, but fan voting accounts for another three votes. Bryant finished first in fan voting to win two more points and O'Neal was second to garner one, making it a 6-6 deadlock. It was the third All-Star Game MVP for Bryant and O'Neal, tying them with Oscar Robertson and Michael Jordan and trailing only Bob Pet 's four MVP awards."
Paul was robbed.
PR, and assists are not as cool as scoring a bunch in the allstar game. I think his only shot was to somehow get a triple double to break the coMVP. Also note how the west did nothing but spoonfeed shaq, then at the end Kobe concentrated on padding his score, probably trying to see if he could break the tie that I know he saw coming.
That was a fun all-star game imo, I think I liked last years better though.
I cant believe no one is giving Tony Parker even a little credit. He was amazing out there and I thought he and Shaq were the reason the West were able to get a lead in the near end of the first and the beginning moments of the second.
