Defense, defense, defense! It's great to see them playing better defense the last few games. I think Bruce's defensive play inspires others, particularly George Hill and Matt Bonner. Not that Matt is a stellar defender, he just seems to be moving better/faster on the defensive end.

Parker was playing bad before Tim's injury. Giving him a low grade is quite logical.
And you had also to consider that timvp is quite a Tony's hater due to his argie roots.![]()
haha well i mean im italian and i can understand the dislike of a frenchie but being it says last 5 games and the last two tony has had 37, 39 pts and 9+ ast both games, that makes no sense
This was written before the last game... when Tony was shooting like 10 percent from the outside on the road trip.
how is that owned? freakin george hill gets a better grade than tony parker? there is no way in . sounds to me like someone is tryin to sound all smart and know it all about the spurs
The players aren't graded against each other. They are graded against their own expectations. And yeah, when Tony is only shooting 35% or something and playing bad Defense - that's a C-.
Seriously Bruno, you can't joke with a spurstalk rookie.
He doesn't understand all the subtleties of this site yet.
It's really unfair.![]()
what is unfair is tony parker getting a c- rating
These thoughts were written prior to the Portland game I believe. Including that game I would certainly give Tony a much higher rating then a C-. Even without the Portland game though I still feel that he deserves a bit better due to his impressive game against Dallas (where to me he unexpectedly showed some great leadership as well as great basketball skills with Tim Duncan sitting that one out). I also don't understand why you gave Malik Hairston a B as he hardly played, and played badly when he did. The last point I disagree upon is that you gave Roger mason a B while giving Finley a B-. Mason aside from the Washington game played pretty poorly defensively and offensively. Finley was definitely better on both sides of the ball during this stretch of games. I can agree on the rest for the most part and enjoyed reading your post.
Ciao,
Pentagruel.
it's obvious that some people just can't comprehend that the Grades relate to how the player is expected to play. Someone sees TP getting a C- and they have a fit because they think timvp is calling TP a Below Average point guard.
For the stretch of games that was being graded, TP played BELOW AVERAGE compared to his usual play, hence he got a C-.
I remember when timvp dropped the grades portion of the game thoughts since many people couldn't figure out what the grades meant. I think timvp should again drop the grades portion. Too many new people here.
20.2 ppg and 7.6apg is no where near c-
