i bank at firstmark.
i don't know how bad they screw you on overdraft stuff...
but i likem!
We have BoA...and while we have been charged some fees it was due mostly to our own faults. But we have had IBC before and they are the ing worst! We even went in to talk to the manager once and she couldn't give us a straight reason as to why the online account balance wasn't the same as the balance they had in the banks at a given time. It was ridiculous.

i use to work for wamu and they people all the time
Is there anyway you can monitor your account online so you know exactly what has cleared. I bank at SSFCU- have forever- and I can access it all online so I know what has cleared and make sure all my automatic drafts have actually been drafted.
on my account it says "pending"...but even pending transactions can be moved...thats what sucks about it. so it's like pending means nothing,
Frost is the best bank in San Antonio. You should always stay away from big banks, IMO. They tend to you hard.
Now, that being said, your checking account is not a credit line. Its kinda hard to about overdraft fees considering it involves you spending more money than you have.
all you clowns ever thought about setting up ur own bank, its easy as long you follow all the guidelines and then run it down to the ground and ask for bail out money then buy urselves each a get![]()
I have some Dave and Buster's tickets if you want them.
My wife uses WAMU & I use Baptist Credit Union. Wamu has royaly ed us many times. Since changing to Chase, they've been cool. We've been overdrawn in that account 2 times & put money right away. They never charged overdraft. It's unusal of a bank to do that, but whatever. I'm cool with it.
So you want to use someone else's money and expect not to be charged for it?
If you don't have money to spend, you shouldn't be spending it. You want to eat? Ramen is like 30 cents. Oil Change? That shouldn't be in your vocabulary if you have a couple of dollars to your name.
Welcome to College 101.
I talked Bank of America into charging me one overdraft fee instead of six when my situation was similar to yours. They did the same thing where they re-ordered the transactions so that the smallest ones were taken out last, thus charging me fees on all of the small ones instead of the big one. Not sure if they would be so flexible these days.
I think you have every right to feel cheated when they reorder transactions for maximum overdraft opportunities. Your money is there and it should be no inconvenience to them to pay out the lesser charges before the greater ones. Some times those are transactions you may have made on a Friday or Saturday that aren't processed until Monday.... You shouldn't be charged a $30 fee for buying a $5 cheeseburger on Friday when you still had $80. That's a ing scam if you ask me.
If you can get a credit card through Wells Fargo you may be able to set it up to where if you exceed your available funds, it will pay the rest from your CC. Then you'd just need to pay the CC off when you have the money.
My bank allows a transfer from my savings account to cover any overdrafts from my checking. I haven't checked in a while, but I think they charged $3.50/transaction.
I assume you didn't read the whole post and if you did you didn't understand it. So Read it again.![]()
Stay far away from Compass Bank & Wells Fargo. Security Service seems good and USAA is good IMO.
fkn was checkn my account, fkn gettin tax 47% on my interest earned....
fkn stupid bank probably didnt update me details and tax number ....fkn pissin me off....that money is usually used to pay my internet bills.....or else i wont be online anymore
Not sure if you're referring to me or not, but my point was that RB HELD my money that was deposited in my account BEFORE the pending transactions went through so they could charge me for the overdraft fees. That cons utes getting ed IMO.
