This will be a tougher game than expected from the Suns. They have gone 0-3 on this road trip and will be desperate for a win.

The Spurs will have to bring it and win in a high scoring game.

It'd be nice to have Gooden for this game. I don't like the idea of Duncan bumping with Shaq all game with Duncan not 100%. Hopefully KT can stay out of foul trouble and help out.

Phoenix Suns (34-28) at San Antonio Spurs (41-20)

(Sports Network) - The Southwest Division-leading San Antonio Spurs will resume a four-game homestand Sunday versus the Phoenix Suns at the AT&T Center.

The Spurs, who are two games ahead of both New Orleans and Houston in the division, opened the residency with Friday's 100-78 victory over the Washington Wizards. Tony Parker scored 19 points and dished out seven assists, as San Antonio improved to 21-8 as the host this season and sit second in the Western Conference standings.

Ime Udoka registered 13 points, four rebounds and four assists off the bench for the Spurs, who have won six of their last nine games overall. San Antonio will also welcome the Bobcats and Lakers to the Alamo City.

Phoenix will try to salvage the finale of a four-game road trip this afternoon and fell to 0-3 on the swing after Friday's 116-112 setback against the Rockets at the Toyota Center.

Steve Nash set a season high with 32 points and handed out 13 assists for the Suns, who are 15-17 as the visitor this season. Leandro Barbosa posted 24 points, Jason Richardson added 14 and both Shaquille O'Neal and Matt Barnes scored 17 points in defeat.

The Suns are 3 1/2 games behind Dallas for the eighth and final playoff spot in the West.

San Antonio has won two of three matchups with the Suns this season and is 14-7 over the previous 21 meetings in the series. Phoenix has won its last three contests in the Alamo City.
