Going purely on voice alone, I'd have to throw Chrissy Hynde and Annie Lennox out there, too. Obviously, the looks don't live up to the sexy le in either case (in my opinion, at least), but it's hard to argue with the sound.

+1 Put on the Pretenders self led album, and listen to Up The Neck or Tattooed Love Boys. Those vocals are basically pornographic.
