Why should a franchise like L.A. tank a season when the league makes every corrupt effort to guarantee a top tier player ends up in a Laker Uniform?
The obvious point that was overlooked in your reply was acknowledgment of the gifts L.A. has received.
As good a win that it was, teams like the Blazers and Jazz won't get very far in the Playoffs because they havent proven that they can win on the road. Sure they'll beat the crap outta you at their house, but put them on the road, and they both look like completely different teams.
