The new rules that allow zone defenses and double teams on a man without the ball screw Yao more than anything else.
If he played in the Dream/Ewing/Robinson era, he would be more than 25ppg...easy.

I'd hold on if I were houston, they have a large asian population so it probably guarantees sellouts at every home game.

I don't see how they would get even get close to equal value for him.
Yao isn't the problem TMac is. Yao needs a player that not just plays well but makes the rest of the team better. He would be one of the greatest second options if they could find someone worth a damn to play alongside him.
Yeah good idea. Trade the leagues biggest cash cow during this economic crisis. ing threads these days.
Trade Yao. No way.Houston is having a pretty decent season so far considering Tracy is out and they traded thier pg. They are 18 games above .500. Great home record. A shot at the number two seed this season. Yao is a big reason for all this. Who knows, Artest has been in the league for sometime,come playoff time he might have another gear and shut down some good players.
actually i meant Marc Gasol and OJ Mayo, but is that unlikely?
grizzlies' GM isn't an idiot like Donnie and he has already hired some experienced retired FBI agents to build a unpenetratable protection for his famlies after they were abducted last year by lakers. even with hundreds of skillful fighters and several million idiots in their fan base, the rockets still are not able to make any "gasol" deal that can strengthen them immediatly.
<newsflash>
Yao never had the ability to be truly dominant in this league in the first place. Trade him now while other teams out there are still stupid enough to think he can dominate!!!
</newsflash>
Yao was dominating in November/December during the 06-07 season. Then he had that knee injury.
He can still dominate with the right offense. I am actually in favor of canning Adleman and hiring Tom Thibodeau. Thibodeau knows JVG's defense and helped to design it and is an assistant on the Celtics. Thibodeau also has an offensive mindset and doesn't want his players to play like robots.
If true, with those words, Yao admits to being a loser.
