Pop needs to stop using Mason as a backup PG. This experiment will never work, and I don't see what good Pop sees in it. Mason can't do anything but come off a pick and hit a jumper.

Hill MUST be the backup PG. Sure, I don't mind if he plays the 2 when he's on the court with Tony, but in all other scenarios he has got to be playing the PG position.

It's easy to blame Hill, but TP and Tim had 3 turnovers between them on consecutive possessions. Then Tim gets a tech and fails to run down on defense. The team as a whole was sloppy and committed a rash of turnovers, thereby allowing the Thunder to get new life and get back into the game. Terrible, terrible execution by a veteran team.

And for the record, I don't need to see any more of the Roer Mason backup PG experiment. He committed his share of stupid turnovers, also. Dribbling off his leg, ill-advised passes and such. Stand down Pop.
I got really mad when Tim stopped to complain and didn't get back on defense. When Atkins hit that three I thought that would really cost us.

I don't need to see anymore of Mason at back up PG either. As it gets tougher and team's defense tighten guys like Roger and Matt are starting to really disappear. They both gotta adjust and find a way to get it done.

True. I'm amazed the Pop doesn't either chew ass with the refs himself or jump Duncan for lagging back.

I would also add that the center of the Spurs universe is still Duncan. With all apologies to TP, it is TD who must be effective enough, on the offensive end, to draw double teams. That will create open shots for outside shooters like Mason and Bonner. I say that because, TP has developed so much of a scorer's mentality that the only player he usually looks for is Duncan.

I think Hill is our best option but he need time to come in the rutine. In 1 or 2 Years is he a solid ack up and more.

Vaughn can make 2 or 3 good games but not more hes legs are old. He can teach Hill.

Hill, then Manu. Mason has no handle.

For the most part, I like Mason's game, but he's just not a point guard.
Also, someone needs to tell Mason, he doesn't get 4 pts for jacking up shots, 3 feet behind the 3pt line.

Mason playing PG is very bad.

When TP sits and Mason plays we have NOTHING on O.

He holds the ball too much and the offence get stagnant.

No more Mason at PG, JV would do a better job and that shows how bad is Mason at PG
