I really think he is. Right now, he looks disinterested to me.
I really hope Duncan is just coasting till the playoffs, it would be ashame to see him fall apart, threads like this are really re ed. The day Pop doesn't trust Tim is the day Pop retires.
I really think he is. Right now, he looks disinterested to me.
Of course Pop trusts Tim. I think this year with so many other weapons like Mason, etc....Pop this year has experimented more this year than any year and wants to see who can deliver in the clutch. He knows what Tim, Tony, and Manu can do with about 2 mins left in the 4th...so he's probably experimenting to see if anyone else has balls to take the last shot or shots in game...ala Mason this year.
Disinterested? Coasting?
I don't understand how any Spurs fan who has followed this team through Duncan's career could think that he's disinterested.
Duncan is a compe or, he's only about winning. He gets up for pick-up games. He's the leader of this team and he leads by example. Coasting is not the example he sets.
He's injured. He's far from 100%. The tendonosis is painful and impacts his game. It's here to stay, it's a matter of severity on any given night. A lessor player wouldn't even try to play. He gives his all any time he's on the court. If at any point Pop thinks he's hurting rather than helping the team Pop will sit him.
The armchair GM's can run this team however they see fit. I trust Pop, and I believe in Duncan.
TP went uber ballhog at the end of the Thunder game. It was pathetic to watch. Does this fact hurt your feelings?
Can't speak bad about our beloved Spurs, nope nope nope. That'd make us all not fans. Can't have that. Nope nope nope.
you can't be called a ballhog when you're basically the only one scoring well for your team for more than 10 games. Right now, on the spurs offense, there is no better place to be for the ball than parker's hands.
When Tim and Manu will get back at their best, the ball will be shared between those three at the end of the games, as usual.
