Let's hope he doesn't start an uncessary war..!
Let's hope he doesn't start an uncessary war..!
No . That trumps any comparison right there.
i in hate republicans... better yet the dip s of this nation who hold that le like it's something to be proud of.
1st georgie is relevant to any and all discussions when you es are trying to knock on our new pres. why? because for 8 long in' yrs you es acted in accordance with everything mr bush did without question and even if you questioned him you still acted in accordance by voting him into office twice. dumb s!
i'd rather our president read a teleprompter to get his message across as clear as he can without mistakes then start wars to profit his pockets and those of all the other currupt pos republicans out there.
I love how Republicans, who were quick to use the 'unpatriotic' term at any sign of disagreement, are absolutely horrified that Dems suggest that they wait a few months before making claims about how terrible our President is.
THE HORROR! THEY'RE TRYING TO TAKE AWAY FREEDOM OF SPEECH! IT'S MY RIGHT TO QUESTION OBAMA!!
No, you should point out the failings of the administration.
That is your job as the loyal opposition.
You're darn tootin' I pointed out Bush's -ups, and I will own up to Obama's because he is my guy.
What I won't do that so many conservatives did during the Bush years:
Mindlessly defend him, just because I voted for him.
If he messes up, he messes up, and I'm not going to lie, cheat, or spin it just because I like him.
I fully expect him to do, as he has done already, some things I don't 100% approve of.
There is a vast gulf between being a grown up about it, though, and being pouty children.
Where that line is, is up to the eye of the beholder, but remember the moderates don't drink the right-wing talk radio cool-aid that seems to be required to be a "conservative" in this day and age.
Are you sure? Dollar magnitude appears to favor TARP, etc.. Bailout lapped the war in cost a couple of months back, I think.
Not reckoning the hit to our international prestige and credibility at all beside the deaths, right?
Let me know when the Obama death count passes that of Bush.
Waving the bloody shirt.
The blood is real, but it needn't be held up for worship. Making an idol of patriotic gore is very tacky IMO, but do whatever you do CD.![]()
Worship?
I'm just running the numbers.
Deaths caused by unnecessary wars started by Obama: 0.
i can't stand replublicans... uptight ers! these people about everything. they listen to rush who is a fat that likes to choke down pills and god knows what else, they love their pedophiles in office, they love their meaningless wars and will actually try and justify them, they back unpatriotic bills like the patriot act, they talk a good talk but never own up to , they harp on the new administration but forget about what just went out the door as if it has no merit to the conversation at hand, they are all two face es who keep running this nation into the ground over and over again.
then again i in' hate politics to begin with and i think every politician, even obama, is nothing more then a power hungry pos. yep. but... i'd rather back obama then any republican sucker.
I can only speak for myself, but I think a big difference is that I am critical of Obama POLICY -- not the man himself. On the contrary, Bush has been labeled a war criminal, Nazi, etc. by liberals. There are still dip s on this board that think 9/11 was a conspiracy carried out by "mastermind" Bush. Then there's the whole "Bush lied about WMD", got us into an unnecessary war, etc. As it pertains to the whole WMD issue, I still don't understand what Operation Desert Fox was all about.
You sound like a smart person.
Actually, what I remember how quick Democrats were to claimi Republicans were calling them unpatriotic for their dissent.
Horrified? Amused maybe but, horrified?
President Teleprompter is a joke. , he's even making Joe Biden look smart.
Even more ironic is how President Bush, in keeping with his modesty, is refusing to criticize this administration even as it continues to trash him, left and right.
Don't stereotype conservatives. Many, many true conservatives disagreed with Bush on a number of issues - and they were vocal about it.
For example, I completely disagreed with Bush's stand on illegal immigration, the prescription drug plan and his spend, spend, spend ways. Also, I'm not too happy with his culpability in starting this whole bail-out mania.
So let me get this straight, Bush started an immoral act ( the war), and Obama continues it only changing the name of the combat units.
If obama is to be un measurable against bush, then he should have not continued this unnecessary war, otherwise its like one having sloppy seconds after an act of rape and claiming to have the moral high ground.
For your info, Obama just shifted troops back and forth and changed names here and there, we're still in Iraq no matter what.
Nuance.
Obama is a dirty filthy politician.
dirtier, filthier, and politicianier than most.
you guys can come up with better. you'll have 8 years to work on it.
If this keeps up, A Republican Congress in 2 and a Republican President in 3 years, 10 months, and 4 days.
americans will forget that soon?
So you thought all the troops and equipment could be taken out overnight.
You've got a president that has committed, in just the past week, four (count 'em, FOUR) serious foreign relations blunders. He can't wean himself from the teleprompter and that led to an embarrassing moment, last night, when he tried to swap speeches with the Irish guy. His Secretary of State is a buffoon.
And, that's just foreign policy mistakes this month.
He wants to make veterans pay for their own war-inflicted injuries.
He talks down the economy without, apparently, realizing the President of the United States is in charge of building public confidence in our economy -- and then, when Warren Buffett and Jack Welch take him out behind the woodshed, he comes out and starts singing praises to the American economy -- basically refuting every bit of rhetoric he ever spewed on the campaign trail -- in fact, he sounded alot like his opponent.
He can't seem to get anyone to work in the administration that hasn't been a tax cheat or criminal. His Howdy Doody Treasury Secretary is melting down and probably looking for the door himself.
Then, in the middle of all this, he decides sweeping -- and socialist -- reforms of the education, healthcare, and energy are going to save the economy. Huh? That even had Democrat economists scratching their heads.
And, now you've got the growing realization this is all just politics...Democrat politics at that.
Yeah, I think Republicans can only benefit by this type of incompetence.
