I think we'll have to agree to disagree here.
I think Kilmer is grossly over-rated as it is. He's pretty much sucked in every move I've ever seen him in but one....Tombstone. He was geat in that one but lacking personality in everything else I've seen him in. He has an acting range(outside of Tombstone where he was admittedly great) that ends up making Tom Cruise look versatile, deep and introspective in comparison. IMHO.
I think we'll have to agree to disagree here.
Hulk Hogan.
Kilmer was the in Kiss, Kiss Bang, Bang. So was Downey come to think of it.
And Truman is a good movie. I missed most of the 2nd and 3rd quarters of the Cavs game so I could watch it on TBS earlier today.
Same with Man on the Moon. He should've won an oscar for that .
Val Kilmer was badass in Heat
michael jordan, he failed in space jam but he's still cool
Defined failure?
Yes Man cleared $100 mil (in 3 months), Horton Hears a Who cleared $160 mil, Lemony Snickett had over $120 mil, Fun With and Jane cleared $120 mil and Bruce Almighty and The Grinch both went over a quarter billion.
And heck, one of his best movies (Eternal Sunshine) didn't make that much, but he was nominated for a ton of awards.
I guess we have different definitions of failure - I'd say he's doing quite well - even lately.
Dolph Lungren
You got that right

^^^^ Willow too, I just watched that last week. Man that's one of my favorite movies ever. Used to watch it all the time when I was a kid. The Brownies are frickin' hilarious! "Beeeerrr!"![]()
Yep, favorite film from my youth.

Pauly Shore ! He is hilarious i think, but did not go so far with his career.
![]()
Watch it...you're talking about my future Governor.![]()
Wesley Snipes. He has surrendered himself to doing crappy straight to DVD movies where he is always playing and ex operative of some sort. He was pretty much done after the Blade's.
Nah, Iron Man all but resurrected his career.
good call
i liked kilmer in kiss kiss bang bang, as well as salton sea.
The Ghost In The Darkness is an all-time great movie.
I forgot all about that movie. I'm going to have to check it out again. CLASSIC
seems most people here are just naming actors who havent done as much lately.
None here seem to be a failre at a career.
Jan Michael Vincent..... I know I'm reaching.![]()
Michael Jai White
The ty Spawn movie ruined his up and comingness.
ps nobody better with mad mardigan. Best role ever.
Squandering your earnings away on coke and s does not qualify you as a failed careerist. Pauly Shore came up and released like 10 movies in 4 years, and had his own MTV show Totally Pauly, which practically showed him ing various penthouse models every other show.
Pauly Shore was never destined to be a Christian Bale, he was like Michael Cera in that he had a limited number of movies he could keep portraying the same character.
I laughed my ass off in every Pauly Shore movie made. He's gold. Success all the way.
Depends on what you consider a failure, which is why I almost didn't mention Val Kilmer.
I decided to go with it, though, because that's one of those cases where he has had a career than many actors would envy, but never quite got to the big time leading man status that he probably could have/should have. He's kind of at the status of an A-list character actor, when there was a few years there he could have been a Brad Pitt.
