    Considering that I owe money this year AND have to pay estimated taxes quarterly, you already did.

    It's supposed to be $400 for an individual, $800 for married filing jointly. So if you're *making work pay* at a rate of $800 and so is your spouse, you're going to owe $800 of that back when you file your 2009 taxes. So, that's something that should probably be verified so you don't get any nasty surprises.

    Also, some employers started *making work pay* for paydates starting in early March, and since the rates weren't supposed to supposed to really be effective until April 1, those that got extra in March will owe that back. Granted, it's not going to be more than $50-60. I know ADP adjusted their rates for our Company for the March 1st+ payrolls, so I've gotten a little more since my 3/13 paycheck.
