For the same reason Cleveland is 61-14, best record in the league but only 4th best road record in the league. Dominant home teams have historically been weaker on the road. Example: The 2005 Spurs, in which the general consensus has been that this was the best Spurs team, was only 21-20 on the road. The reason? 38-3 at home that year.
The Spurs have the worst home record out of all 8 West playoff teams, but have the 2nd best road record out of all 8 West playoff teams.
In other words, there is no way the Spurs will fall short of the le this year...
