The legal holder of arms don't commit such acts
    There is the rare exception.
You need a pedometer to measure all the backtracking you've done these past few days.

I made a mistake on my remarks in this case. I admitted that already. Must you always be an ass?

    Gun control laws work.

Washington DC is a great example.

Seriously, what percentage of people do you think are packing at any given time in a place not designated a gun-free zone?

It's pretty small, but these zones effectively take away the 2nd amendment.

The point isn't how many, but that someone with criminal intent can be safer in committing his crime in such places.

If you really want to get rid of something that causes senseless death, get rid of tobacco, alcohol, and automobiles.

good suggestion but it's acutally not feasible, just like most of Obama's promises and announcements. oppositely, the prohibitation of guns will probably provoke some die-hard gun lovers and make them do some crazy things with their guns. earlier this morning I heard a sad story on johnjeff show that a crazy gunner killed 3 cops. The gun problem of US is not piled up overnight, it can even be dated back to Lucky Luck's time. Just like the financial problems, the gun problems cannot be resolved either. Being a president doesn't only require ambition and passion, patience and diplomacy are even more important sometimes.
That was tongue in cheek. You see more of these massacres happening in places with gun bans. , cities like Chicago and D.C. who have done everything they can to ban guns have the worst gun violence in the country.

I'm a proponent of concealed carry, and all banning guns does is give the criminals an unarmed populace to prey upon. Look at England... they banned guns, stabbings went through the roof, and now their parliament is considering a ban on all knives inclusive of steak knives. It's lunacy.
