Hmm...last three games he averaged 21 pts and 13 boards...that sounds like finished to you?
That's the part I don't understand. How many times did he touch the ball after the first quarter? If they don't give him the ball, I'm a) not sure how it's his fault and b) not sure how it's an indication of anything other than the stupidity of the coaches and his teammates.

Pretty much.. The guy was never a tremendous athlete to begin with and as time goes on and he loses that little athleticism he had.. I love Duncan but I really see him falling off as a star, the fact he the Spurs have left him without any help in the paint for years doesn't help much.
That is perhaps the biggest reason the Spurs won't win a championship, because CIA Pop and Buford never sacked up to get him some help in the paint! All the load shifted to Tim after Dave left to be the offensive anchor and the defensive anchor for our team and we just wore him down and never gave him a break. I blame Tim's aching knees on the shoulders of Pop and Buford. They never tried to get Tim the help he deserved in the paint.

Tim is a ghost right now. He's been beaten down by the knee pain, poor guy. We only go as far as Tim is healthy, and right now that's a 6-game out in the first round.

I'm just hoping that the knees are something that a 4-month offseason will help, although I understand that it's a degenerative condition, which bodes ill for Tim's future. Is there any treatment for tendonosis?

You didn't see my post about his last 3 games? Sure, he had a bad game today. But you're basing a lot on one game.

I know, I know... but for Tim's sake, the Spurs needed another big to play defense and should have held onto Rasho. He did the best job of taking that load from TD.

    Horry was better..

it's interesting though..I was reading old threads a couple of weeks ago, and the SAME exact threads were made in 2006.."Duncan is done", "Duncan should retire"..along those lines..

I don't think he's out of gas for the season. I can't see him getting only six points against OKC. Lord I hope not.
