What's the deal with all of these burgers tasting the same?

There's this place called Big Daddy's on Pleasanton and Gillete, they have this half pound burger that tastes frickin' awesome.

I stand by what I said, two years ago or so I ate at Chesters and it tasted very similar to Whataburger.

I had an Applebee's burger the other day and it was badass... they changed the meat and the buns. It was wonderful.

I actually haven't been to Chesters in over a year but the last time I went it tasted nothing like whattaburger. I used to like the burgers at that place that used to be off of 1604 with the big plane sticking out of it.

That's the deal and maybe it did make the burger taste better.

It's bread and ground meat, so there's not a lot of ways to make it taste different. For me, a good bun makes an excellent burger. There are a couple places here in San Marcos that make their own buns (River Pub, Centerpoint Station).

Centerpoint Station probably makes the best burgers in the area.

How sad is it that a gas station makes better burgers than places like Culvers and Freddys?
