I never doubted his heart or his will...just his knees.
Same here. He can't fix his knees, but it's his heart and his will to win that have brought four home. Here's to the Playoff Duncan we know.

You knew when he had 1 knee pad on he was going kick ass.
And when he shaved his head it was a done deal.

If we have this Tim Duncan in the playoffs, I won't count us out, even without Manu.

Finley knocked down the shot at the end of regulation, but it would be a mistake not to talk about the recognition and execution involved in the pick that Duncan set to make it possible. It's a beautiful thing having a big who is mobile enough and smart enough to be there; but Duncan makes it a work of art by getting squarely in front of the defender and not just letting him slip by (like most players do). Can you see Shaq executing that play?

A good pick gets the same kind of respect as a good lay-up shot in golf, but those things win games. That's a big part of the reason why the Spurs have dominated for the last decade, and why Duncan is the best big man of his generation.

That was a beautiful pick that Duncan executed to perfection. Had that not been executed well, Finley would have had someone in his face. I loved that play. The whole play involving all 3 players was a thing of BB beauty. The plays coaches live for, and fans drool over.

How many is that for Duncan?

    Didn't he lead the NBA?

For this season? It's LeBron James with 12 and Timmy with 11.

    Good find.

Besides Duncan and James, only Bosh with 8 had more than 5.

We'll see who has the most 20-10-5 games in the playoffs.

This might sound stupid, but Duncan was the only player in the NBA this season to get 6 assists, 19 rebounds and 20 points in the same game.
