it doesnt really matter, u wouldnt ever meet us in the playoffs anyway. even if you get past portland, you wont get past the Lakers.
I see us getting past the Mavs.....I also see us playing Denver in the 2nd round. They will be much tougher than the last two times we met them in the playoffs. Still, if we can be consistent with our shot making, I see no reason why we cannot make it all the way to the WCF to face the Lakers.
mavs just did what they're supposed to do and that is win games down the stretch. Had the rox taken care of some games here and there against some ty teams earlier in the season--they would not have to rely on a mavs/spurs loss, and a sacramento shotclock win to get 3rd seed.
IF, (big if) your team is to be so lucky to get to the wcf, they will lose in epic fashion to the lakers.
wrong........epic fashion was the way Seattle lost to Denver or Dallas lost to GS in the first round.
The Lakers are the #1 seed and had a huge lead on us in the standings....like 11 games or so. If we get to the WCF, we are definitely underdogs, with or without Manu.
Believe me, if the Lakers beat us down and even sweep us....it will be no worse than either the 2002 or 2003 playoff series we lost to them.
I still hold on to my statement that the Spurs are the only team in the West that can beat the Lakers in a 7 game series....can they do it, YES....will they do it, Most likely NO.
