He's good around the basket. Has good hands. Good rebounder. Good on drop offs and putbacks. Coordinated. Aggressive. Has a feel for the game. Only a baby. He's going to be a player.

hmmm looks good if he has an offensive game sounds like he is more of a defensive player.

I like Detroit, they're my favorite team in the East.
I like Detroit a lot as a team but I don't think they could take the Spurs in 7. Especially if we have HCA. I do expect them to win over the Heat in the east though.
I would be pretty upset as a Pistons fan to see the game hang in the balance with a couple minutes left on my home court playing the Spurs without Tim Duncan and with Ginobili logging very limited minutes since returning from injury.
The Spurs had 3 bench players on the floor in crunch time and even gave the 10-day contract Glover minutes in the fourth. Not the lineup I would expect to see in the playoffs.
The problem the Spurs would have versus the Pistons and Heat are the guys with the ball in crunch time...Billups and Wade.
It doesn't matter who's playing, if the game is hanging in the balance in the last 2-3 minutes of the game, those two players are prime time. They are both big, strong and have blue blood running through their veins. The also have the "clutch" chromosome.
You also forget we were missing our leading scorer for the 2nd half. He played, but barely.
And teams often rally when their best player goes down. They play on emotion, and make shots. I don't read anything into it. Only thing I care about is wins and losses. Upset? Hardly.
In any case, I'm confident in my team. If we lose because somebody outplayed us 4 games out of 7, so be it. But I'll believe it when I see it.
Props go to the owner who let Timmy borrow his plane... That was very classy. Yesterday's game was fun to watch. A little more Manu and we would probably have won... GO SPURS GO
its funny how you guys say timmy manu and on the pistons forum we all say tay rip wallacex2.
...and on the suns forum, I hear they say Steve, Shawn and Amare.......
That's only a rumor though. Don't let it get out.
It is pretty funny now that you mention it! , even Pop Calls Tim Timmy!![]()
It's hard to hate the Pistons.
They embody everything that is good about the NBA. I am amazed at Sheed's maturation. Also, I am on the Tayshaun Prince bandwagon. He might be the best three in the NBA. I remember watching him at Kentucky and thinking to myself, how is this skinny kid, who only plays offense, gonna make it in the pros?
LB sold him on playing defense and look at him now. Krilenko and Odom are also damn good small forwards, but I would take Prince over those two.
Tay, as a rookie, broke into NBA awareness, at least mine, in the 03 EC Finals vs Nets. He was absolute clutchness in that series, damn near killed the Nets by himself. Amazing breakout series for him.
It's really too bad he so skeletal, obviously he needs to put 50 lbs upper body mucsle (to match Ben Wallace) if he ever wants to be any good.
Tay and Manu should pitch in and share a Personal Trainer. They'd be SO MUCH BETTER bulked up.![]()
Props to the Spurs fans here at the spurstalk, you all seem very knowledgeable and respectful of other teams & fans, nice folks all around. I got here through a posting at the pistons boards at:
http://pistons.infopop.cc/eve/ubb.x/...1/m/8091083642
The Pistons are probably the only other team in this league that I actually like. That is...when we're not playing them.![]()
Granted, I kind of just jumped on the bandwagon during the Finals last summer...Detroit earned my respect merely for not allowing the Lakers to win the le last season. Somebody HAD to do it, and your boys stepped up.
Regardless, in terms of class, Detroit is definitely among the elite. Great players, great coaches, great front office = highly respectable organization. Teams like the Spurs and the Pistons are extremely hard to find in the NBA these days.
Much respect to the Owner for extending his help to Duncan when he got injured, too. That's the kind of stuff you just wouldn't expect from any other team.

Thanks, and welcome to the boards.
Feel free to stick around. We could use a few more Pistons pushers around here anyways. Right now we're currently being overrun by fLaker fans.
For the most part, we're all smart, decent, and intelligent folk.
The rest are just here for our amusement and to feed the trolls.![]()
well that would be a definate 7 game series right there
[B][I]by the way im new here and a pistons fan too!![]()

ok then tell me what you have as a sig there??
Maybe we should have like an envoy to every other teams board (i.e. pooh goes to the Pacers one, FeardaFro to the Detroit one, mouse to the Mavs one, etc) and they can link interesting topics to us here.
I'd read them. , I'd volunteer. What d'ya think?
I'm not sure that I can allow another Princess here.
Welcome to the board!
I'm sure Mark Cuban would have loaned Tim his plane under the same cir stances.Much respect to the Owner for extending his help to Duncan when he got injured, too. That's the kind of stuff you just wouldn't expect from any other team.
Of course it would have gone down with no survivors somewhere around Marble Falls...![]()
I like Rasheed Wallace.
