so trade tp for bosh?
and then the spurs can be like portland a good team without a point guard?
He's still a 100 times better that everything we have.

Like I said, have you seen his team?
Also as the season has gone on i've tended to back away from wanting Sheed, he's been pretty awful. McDyees would be a much better option, he's a solid 10-15 rebounds a night player.
We need another solid defensive big and an athletic SF. Keep the core 3 (TD,TP, and Manu).
What? Why would you trade TP for bosh? You just don't rebuild around Tony.
Wallace is the perfect fit for us: He'd be an improved version of Horry.
For me is now![]()
you can't build around a PG. sorry.
trading manu would be the dumbest thing this franchise will ever do.
there is no trade out there that will ever get equal value for what manu does.
the only dumb who would like that is ducks.
OK. we got it. but with manu + Tim, we lose by 20+ tonight. We all know this team is built around a three players core. What's your point ?
Add a Dirk, Howard, Barrea, Terry even Kidd, maybe Dampier like with Tim and Tony, and we win this game. The X-factor thing is bull . All we need is others options to score. 2 isn't enough.
I'm glad that third option is usually manu considering the player he is. but put any other good offensive player, and that would have been enough tonight.
The fact is when you have a team built around three players and one of them is (consistently) missing, that hurts your chance.
TP is playing better than we could hope. And Timmy maybe less well that we could hope (kness ?). so, we're in trouble.
and a lot of people aren't considering one of the big reason we lost tonight : REBOUNDING.
The mavs shot poorly so we could consider our defense OK.
tony's outstanding performance and Tim good game made our offense decent overall.
REBOUNDING (lack of it) killed us.
I agree. Udoka isn't that person and Fin was no where insight. Mason was on the bench a lot. Can't really look anywhere else. Gooden? and his headband suffocating his brain?
That's where the young talent will come into play. Hill/Mahinmi/Gist/Hairston would be a good starting point. Sanikidze is a wild card. Then there's MWilliams, we'll see what he can do. They also have the Warriors' 2nd round pick which will be #37. Plus, it does look like Splitter will be available (or at least more likely to be available) in 2010. They also have their MLE to use this summer, which could be used to find a solid role player. All is not lost, but Pop needs to be willing to go with a young, inexperienced supporting cast at some point.
Also, I guess Javtokas is still alive. I'm not sure he'd be an upgrade over Oberto, but I think he'd cost less and Oberto's health might be an issue.
If there'd be a silver and black lining in exiting this postseason early, it'd be that the Spurs would have a greater impetus to shake things up.
It's true that the role players sucked tonight, but is also true that outside Tim and Tony nobody had more than 3 fg attemps coming into the 4th quarter. The "X-factor thing" to me represents Manu's hability to make players around him better and that isn't bull IMO.
