Portland is a jump-shooting team. That's why there's a foul discrepancy like that. LaMarcus Aldridge is a jump shooting power forward. Their centers don't shoot the ball. And, Brandon Roy is the only guy that consistently attacks the basket. And, Roy has gone to the line 34 times, more than any Rockets player. Blake, Fernandez, Outlaw, Batum, Frye... they're all jump shooters first. Houston doesn't have great slashers, but their players will attack the basket. Brooks, Artest, Lowry will attack the rim. Scola and Landry attack the offensive glass and unlike a guy like Przybilla, they'll go back up with a shot.

If you understand the free throw and foul discrepancy between the Pistons and the Cavaliers, it's a similar thing with Houston and Portland. Portland stays shooting jump shots. The Rockets might shoot jumpers too, but they also attack the basket with much more frequency than the Blazers do.

And, back to topic, when it comes to criticizing how the game is being officiated, in all seriousness, the Blazers could be called for a foul almost every possession down because Przybilla and Oden have two forearms in Yao's back almost all the time.

That's a crock of . It doesn't even begin to address why we've been called for more fouls than any other team in the playoffs.

You can't even cite any specific examples of that isn't called that should be, only that there is a huge disparity. Seriously, show me some video or a play that should have been called but wasn't or any sort of double standard. All I hear is "whaa whaa Artest is too physical with Roy, they grab on his jersey" I can cite atleast ten specifc bull /blown calls from game 2, which was handed to the Blazers to avoid a boring sweep.

You are completely ignoring the style of play (penetration vs. jump shooting), the intenional fouls at the end of the game and the aggresive fronting defense on Yao. Take your losses like a man. Your guys were outplayed this series.

The only missed calls Ive seen is the Battier falling down (traveling) with the ball, which could of been game changing, but that is nothing compared to Blake throwing the ball straight out of bounds when Rudy fell to the ground with no contact in game 2.

Go read Blazersedge, half of your own fans even admit the officiating isnt what caused the losses.

Since you can't come up with a list, I will back up my game 2 officiating comments with this list of BS calls otherwise known as "the order" given by Stern after he witnessed a colossal ass whooping in game one after Portland threw a parade for just making the playoffs.........

Missed/Blown calls I saw:
1.)The loose ball foul on Aaron Brooks when Blake threw a football style block on him as he scrambled for the ball in the fourth
2.)The star treatment foul on Shane when he had a clean block on Roy in the final seconds
3.)The call on Lowry when Rudy fell over and Blake through the ball straight out of bounds in the final seconds of the game
4.)No technical on Oden after shoving Yao
5.)The play where the ball was thrown into Yao and Oden jumped over his back and knocked it away
6.)The missed goaltending call on a Wafer breakaway drive.
7.)The foul by Oden that ended Dekes career which was called on Deke.
8.)The loose ball foul on Yao when Joel flopped to the ground.
9.) A blocking foul (star treatment) on Yao when Roy drove into him, initiated all the contact, then got blocked.
10.) Foul on Shane after Roy misses a jump shot and just falls to the ground.

you know what else i noticed? Artest drives to the hoop as much as anyone, because he is so physical, how many FTs has he gotten? He got interviewed today and he said "I get hacked all the time and if they don't call it you need to hustle back and stop complaining." ROY GETS FTS EVERY TIME HE DRIVES.
