damn right.
TIM DUNCAN SPURS OR NOTHING!!!!!
now the rest of the league can exhale, finally after so many yrs the odd yr is free of the Spurs and Tim Duncan.
exhale.
damn right.
always a great rivalry. and i got nothing but respect for them. consistently one of the classiest teams in sports, whether in victory or defeat.
to the spurs
yay for class!
good luck against nuggz...gonna need it
I don't think I've had better appreciation of this team until today. Win or lose, Spurs fan still. :]
I'm pissed about how this season turned out, but the Spurs will always be my favorite basketball team. It's extremely hard for me to see them lose in the 1st round, especially against the classless Mavs, but they put up a fight. I expect to see them come back next year strong, and ready to win a championship.
Thanks Spurs! And especially thanks to the role players. A lot of people on these boards are cussing out Bonner, Mason Jr., Gooden, etc., but those guys all played hard and gave it their all. The fact is they just weren't made to be centerpieces of the team and it showed.
I think this offseason the Spurs need to rework the team and build it around Parker. Start running more. Let Duncan take a tertiary role.
Our teams frugality may pay off in the coming years. Most of the country doesn't realize it, but we are in a depression and NBA teams are going to start going bankrupt. There will be a lot of opportunities for teams that keep their balance sheets flexible in the coming years.
Congrats to the Mavs--except JT. He's obnoxious.![]()
Thank you for the good series. The Spurs is not a bad team, but the Mavs is a better team now. 4-1 says it all.
Yeah, thanks for the great year. Looking forward to summer league![]()
Thanks Spurs.
We will be back.
Thank you, Spurs.
We will return. But it is a hard pill to swallow. Sooo this is what it feels like to now make it out the first round.![]()
Great thread! I love my team no matter what.. This year was a test to see who the real fans were. Glad to know this thread has alot of posts from you guys!
To the Spurs
Amen. It's testament to how good these guys have been that losing in the first round of the playoffs can be such a disappointment.
Many franchises would be thrilled just to qualify; others just hope to have a chance to reach the 2nd round. Spurs fans, meanwhile have watched 30 playoff series involving their team in the last 11 seasons.
The Spurs played hard and kept coming in Game 5, even when so many things seemed to be going against them. I'm thankful for the opportunity to support a team that plays with dignity and class and doesn't know how to quit. That they win a lot is just icing on the cake.
Go Spurs Go!
Maybe next year, Coach Pop can step down then hire back P.J. Carlesimo to be the head coach. He always did a good job when he assisted Pop. Anways, congrats to the Mavs. And thanks to the Spurs for another hard fought season! Alot of things went wrong but the Spurs were 2nd place in the West for much of the season.
thanks timmy
thanks tony
you gave it all!
I will always love the Spurs. I am sad I can't watch them play this season anymore. When they come back next year, it will be a championship year for them. Go Spurs Go!
Definitely, it is tough but the truth was that dallas played better in every aspect of the game. Props to them. I think we will return hungrier, stronger, and better. For some reason, although depressed, I feel relieved and I hope the team gets some good long vacaction they really deserve it. I love this game and most of all I LOVE MY SAN ANTONIO SPURS. They Will be back book it. Thanks for another good season.
