ThREAT AlERT!!!!!!
This!
Other than Howard none of the other guys really deserves to be on the All-Defense first team. Kobe played some of the tiest defense in his career this year, and as good as LBJ was, his defensive importance is nowhere close to Battier's. And KG didn't play almost half a season.
But the most ridiculous is CP3. The guy is actually a bad one on one defender, guys can easily drive on him. Rajon Rondo, Heinrich, Kidd to mention a few are all MUCH SUPERIOR defenders than him. It's absolute bull .
ThREAT AlERT!!!!!!
Im not sure why some have a problem w/ James. His defense has been really good this year, on the ball and off the ball.
CP3 simply does nto belong. His on the ball defense is pretty bad. he can't help it, simply lacks the physical tools.
Rajon Rondo belonged on 1st team IMO.
2nd team >> 1st team
Sons don't fallt the coaches for voting for me. They fell into my trap of believing I'm just that good.
You would have thought the NBA guys from ESPN voted for this..Barry, Mashburn, Wilbon, Magic, Stuart Scott, Jalen and Legler
Don't hate the s fish. Hate the game.
My D traps these crab es like steel fishnets.
Y'all are just some hatin jellyfish.
LeBron James without question deserves to be first-team All-Defense. Anyone who says he doesn't either a.) hasn't watched the NBA this year or b.) is a hater.
I'm surprised Steve Nash didnt find himself on that list the way the coaches voted
I love LBJ, trust me, but over Duncan?
That's media coscksucking
See everyone knows he sucks at defense though. I could see Matty Bricks making it because the local media overglorifies his "foul the out of you" defense.
Then maybe Tim should have been there over Garnett, a guy who didn't even play the last quarter of the season.
Not over Battier. Never.
^ Exactly, as good as LBJ has been on defense this year, he doesn't come close to matching the defensive work, night in and night out that a Battier, Artest, or even Iguodala, does. Sorry, he completely deserved the MVP, and I might go along that this should be his second, but there are other forwards whose defense is much more vital to their team than LeBron's is.
chauncey's killing a plant or a puppy right now
Chris Paul broke the steals record of course they gonna put him on there clowns
This list looks right to me. We think of these guys as scorers and forget how good these superstars are defensively.
When Kobe/DWade/LeBron want to lock you down, you stay locked down.
I mean seriously, how many times do you see LeBron's guy score on him? Or how many times has Kobe's guy scored on him? Kobe plays alot of help defense, that's about the only time his man scores on him.
I see Battier and Artest's name coming up.... Kobe averaged 28 points versus Battier and Artest this year, that's 1 point more than his average. Brandon Roy lit up both Artest and Battier for 27 points during the first round, 5 above his average.
Duncan's defense was good this year, it wasn't great. KG's a great defender, he missed the last part of the season though. I guess that one's a toss-up.
This is such a crock of bull , Kobe, CP3, and KG should be nowhere near first team. Kobe plays about 5 mins of actually defense a game and gets burned backdoor about 30 times a game. CP3, are you ing kidding me? KG was injured for basically the whole second half of the year. This is a joke, guys simply got on the first team because of their names.
LeBron, on being picked for the All-Defensive First Team:
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/200...ritethru.0303/It was a big goal of mine to become a better defensive player. I decided to take a little more onus on that end of the floor. It's humbling and a great feat for myself because I really enjoy that side of the floor. I thank the coaches for seeing that I picked up my game on that end. It's humbling.
It's all about pride. I just take pride on that end of the court. I'm just as locked in on that end as I am on the offensive end.
