First of all the premise is put Jason Kid on the teams in the Playoffs THIS YEAR. To Which I say they still loose in 6 to the Houston Rockets who have taken it to the much Hyped Lakers.

Now if we're to follow your "fantasy Logic" and your saying that Kid would have made up for Defensive inconsistencies that Plagued the Trail Blazers all year. That he would have made up for the fact that Greg Oden was a BUST this year. And all this magically gives them more wins. Well then Maybe they don't eve play in the playoffs. But I know for dam sure that team still looses to Houston, The Lakers, and Denver in a seven game series. So just how "scarry" a team is that my man?

offensive oriented teams? kidd was a member of a team top 5 in defensive efficiency from 1999-2000 to 2005-2006.

So you don't think having a veteran like Jason Kidd on a young team like Portland wouldn't make them better at all? Don't kid(d)(I made a funny) yourself. Don't know why the you brought up Oden because regardless of whether Kidd was on that team or not, he would've continued to struggle w/ all the injuries he's been dealing with. The way you brought him up, you make it sound like he's their star player, their go.to.guy, well newsflash, as of now, Odens just a role player, he wouldn't have made that much of a difference even if he had been injury free all year. Also, I'm not sure if Kidd could help a guy like that stay out of foul trouble even for a second. Portlands frontcourt even with a struggling Oden is still very strong, so that's not where their concern lies. A guy like Kidd would be a huge upgrade over a guy like Blake (who at best is a good backup pg)at that position. What Kidd brings would be perfect to what a young, good team like Portland needs or rather lacks. He'd be a great addition to that team, because with him he's bringing leadership, experience, defense, and would make guys like Roy, Aldridge, Outlaw, better than they already are. BTW, what's been the biggest criticism on Portland heading into the Playoffs this year? It's always been, they're too young, inexperienced or (insert crap relating to age), so tell me, again, how a guy like Kidd wouldn't make them better?
