Dahntay Jones is a foul machine just like Sasha Vujacic. If you think 4 fouls in 5 minutes is bad, I think Vujacic picked up 3 fouls in 60 seconds versus the Jazz or Rockets; forgot which one.
Part of the reason the Lakers don't have the homecourt "advantage" is cause the fans don't get crazy over a blown call. Every single game this postseason that's been played in a city like Cleveland or Utah when the refs make a bad call on one end, they give a makeup call on the very next possession. But yeah I agree, the Lakers never get helped by the refs.

lol I'm just hoping for lakers and cavs finals and i'm prety sure most laker fans are as well.
But I don't see the need for a lot of peeople to get up in arms whenever cavs win a close game or potentially might win a close game.
When was the last time you've seen a player throw a ball at someone 10ft away, hit them in the back, and not get T'd up for it?
Honestly, can you tell me?
The video replay clearly shows that the ref closest to the play was looking right at Mo Williams when it happened and then he turned his head away afterwards. I don't know what else to say, either the refs are beyond incompetent or there is something else going on.
Yeah the ref pussied out. I'm sure many palyers throughout history and in these playoffs have gotten a layoff of doign something border line flagrant, T-worthy, or dirty. It's not uncommon.
Amuses me when people complain BITTERLY and ANGRILY over the officiating in a game that doesn't even involve their own team.
They played dog teams in Detroit and Atlanta the first two rounds. Do you expect either of those teams to have any hope to compete with Cleveland? They're averaging a whole +2FT vs Orlando in their building. Big ing deal.
Anyone who doesn't think the officiating was completely biased towards the Cavs is either:
A.) Cavs fan
B.) Spur fan rooting for the Cavs so they can beat the Lakers
Dog teams don't deserve free throws? Ah, I see.
+2FT split between two games = 1 point each... would have decided the winner of the games. They're averaging a whole +2FT vs Orlando in their building. Big ing deal.
But this isn't about the Cavs, they get their calls or not get their calls; whatever, that's their deal. This is about the Myth that the Lakers get these same kinds of calls.
Sorry the Cavs had 24 personal fouls called on them and the Magic had 25.
In Game 1 the Cavs had more fouls called on them than the Magic.
The FT disparity in this game was +1 for the Cavs. Magic shot 25, Cavs shot 26.
In Game 1, the FT disparity was yet again +1, Cavs shot one more.
1 ing FT difference vs a team that just jacks up threes.
Dog teams that can't play defense and can't get to the basket don't earn free throw disparities.
No, dog teams resort to foulign more, because they have no answer for the better team.
Once again LOL @ ______ fans complaining about officiating in a _______ game.
______ fans should worry about their own team.
WOWNow even 1 extra FT for the Cavs is a fix. WTF LMAO sad.
And who on the Cavs can get to the basket other than LeBron? That's a jumpshooting team outside of King James.
It's a 9 game trend, not just two games. But trying to minimalize +2FTs in 1 point losses is rather convenient.
That's 9 games out of 10 where the Cavs get more free throws. The Lakers only got the benefit 5 out of 14 games.
There is no Ref Laker Love.
LeBron gets to the line for about half of the teams free throws. The rest of the 10-14 left get split between about 7 players.
Like when you ing Laker fans were whining about Denver shooting +2FT last night, which were a direct result of Fisher intentionally fouling Billups?
The number of F/T attempts isn't the sole determination of how the officiating went for a given night. In fact that's the dumbest and most short-sided analysis one could do. Why am I not surprised though?
I'm not going to explain myself to people that clearly didn't watch the game. There is a reason why people in the game thread who were rooting for the Cavs were saying like "I may have to switch teams to the Magic here with this BS officiating".
Fans see what they want to see. Plain and simple. If the officiating bugs you that much, turn off your TV's, because it isn't changing. Could it be more consistent? Yes, of course, but this happens in the blink of an eye. I'm sick of reading comments where people focus entirely on the officiating without regard to their own team's (or another team's) failings.
Your logic is horrible. So the refs knew before hand that the game would be decided by one point so they purposely let the cavs shoot one more FT too make it look like they reffed a balance game, but in reality they knew what was going to happen. Ok.
True. Cleveland should almost always shoot significantly more FTs than Orlando, since the Magic jack up threes and Cleveland has a guy no one can stop from getting to the basket.
Okay so explain this stat:
PERSONAL FOULS:
MAGIC: 25
CAVS: 24
I'm not saying there's a ref conspiracy against your team; even though there may be iffy calls. Cavs earned home court and if they get calls going their way, that's fine.
The Lakers on the other hand earned their HCA but haven't gotten the homecooking calls.
I'm cool with it either way because I think you SHOULD get home-cooking calls. But let's not start saying the Lakers have the refs on their side...so far in the Playoffs, they haven't.
It sure as wasn't me whining about any ref calls...you'll never see me do that.
And as far as I know, almost no Laker fan here on ST whines about ref calls after a game. Maybe a complaint in the heat of the moment during a game but it's done when the game's done.
