The Lakers are winners but they are also losers. They have lost the most NBA Finals in NBA history. They are 15 for 30 when it comes to winning the NBA le. The Celtics have a much better record in the Finals. They have won 17 championships in 20 appearances.

Most teams have players that are classless. Just depends on how you define it. Trash talking is all well and good and up to a certain point there is nothing wrong with it. Some people can go overboard with it, some can play dirty, and some can be poor teammates and lack sportsmanship.
If your team's culture is comprised of mostly classless players, then your team is classless. If you have one or two players, then it is more isolated.

If you disect the team, 80% of the people playing are not bad and generally nice people.
The problem is, the face of the team have done things that can be considered classless, annoying and downright stupid.
Even if you argue that Kobe is the only one doing these things, the fact that he is THE face of the team speaks volumes of how people will perceive the lakers.
I also think LA corrupts in general, people can't avoid being y in LA.
