JRich is the second coming of Michael Finley. Athletic ability declining, big contract, team cannot win, bad defense. Why in the world does Houston want the guy? If anything, Houston and Pheonix are just bad trading partners.
Houston needs a 2 guard that can play an entire season, period.

I agree, but the difference between what you'd get out of Amare and what you'd get out of TMac more than compensates. The rockets would be stupid to let Carl Landry get in the way of this deal.
well ok since you put it like that. Amare wants to play center but he's fully capable of playing at Power Forward. If we have Scola and Amare at Power Forward, this gives us a lot of versatility in the front court because Amare can play center too. Then if we can sign Artest back, we can put Artest or Shane at Small Forward. Artest can move up to the two guard too.

The only thing we'd have to do is set the backcourt. To do that, Barbosa is about the same as Aaron Brooks. In fact, I think it's a toss up as to who's faster. Toss in Nash or some other premium point guard and I think we got it.

    Latest from espn insider.

    POSTED: June 25 -- 10:49 a.m. ET

Chad Ford: Watch out for the Houston Rockets. Sources say they have been really active the past 24 hours, having contacted the Grizzlies, Thunder, Kings and Timberwolves about trying to get into the lottery.

It sound like virtually everyone on Houston's roster is available. Teams report that the Rockets are trying to parlay Tracy McGrady's expiring contract and Aaron Brooks' newfound celebrity status into a big upgrade in Houston. Carl Landry and Shane Battier were also mentioned as possible trade pieces.

The Rockets are also among several teams that will be making a run at Amare Stoudemire. With Shaq gone, expect the Stoudemire rumors to start heating up again.

In fairness to Kerr he's not the one who put himself under orders to shed payroll. He shares blame with Sarver.

If I were the Rockets, Battier and Yao would be the two players that I DON'T trade under any cir stances. Maybe Scola as well.

Right now, Brooks and Landry have insanely high trading values considering they played way over their heads for one series. I'd trade them as quickly as possible. Package them with T-Mac and get something sweet out of the deal.
