True. If we're absolutely desperate for offense, it couldn't hurt to send him out there and tell him to fire away.

Big Dog plays the three, correct?
Wonder if this means there was a set-back on Devin's progress?
Why was Glover mentioned?
Well, I remember at times last year against the Lakers having no one on this team other than Brown who could sink a shot. I don't mind this one bit.
But, if they waived Glover that also tells me that Brown is looking better and better for the playoffs.
Good news, Good news.
Why is everyone so excited about Glenn Robinson, the Spurs have enough offense, and he deffinently can't play defense.
I hope they give Glover an invite to camp and/or a spot on their summer team. He seems like a good fit.
You obviously haven't watched us play lately.the Spurs have enough offense
The Spurs NEVER have enough offense. That is a lesson those of us who have watched the team for years have learned. See the playoffs last year for all the proof you'll need.
I don't think this is a make or break move, and I dont' think anyone else does either, but I think it's pretty suprising for one.
Big Dog is only 32. The thinking is you bring him in, if he can give you some instant offense off the bench that's great. If he can't, you waive him when Devin returns from injury.
It doesn't suck to have a guy who has never averaged less than 15 points per game as your 12th man heading into the playoffs. For as lazy as he is, he might be the best midrange shooter of the last decade. And maybe being out of basketball and left for dead can spark him and make him play with some energy.
maybe he can for a chance at a ring. Big Dog wasn't always as lazy as he was in Philly.
But hey in Philly he wasn't going anywhere. Perhaps pop can instill some fire. Perhaps not.
But I agree with timvp it was worth a risk
I don't see people overly excited. We're just surprised.
Definitely worth the risk when your midrange game consists of Bruce Bowen and nothing else.
I was going to bemoan the Spurs' not looking for offense in their scrub acquisitions.
Geez.
Well LATELY, has Duncan played? No.
And no, I haven't really had the chance to watch, I don't live in SA.
I don't know if people are excited or just shocked.
They'll probably just use him for some extra points off the bench while Duncan and Devin are out. Then if he does anything, keep him for the postseason. It's debatable whether he'll make the playoff roster. This is a no risk, not much reward pick-up.

And he won't be playing for a while. That's the point.Well LATELY, has Duncan played? No.
I am more surprised than anyone, this move came out of nowhere... I don't really understand how much he's going to help.
Isn't he injured, or when is he going to start playing again?
Can anyone confirm Glover's status?
Wow. What a character. Didn't think Pop would put up with such a punk.
His not going to steal to many of Manus minutes calm down alvarez
Glover is gone.
Waived. Sorry I didn't include that in the thread le.
lmao.
Who said I was worried about that.
The big "dog" can have his fun playing for about 10 games, I don't care.
He's NOT going to be a Spur next year...
Nah I'm just meessing with ya it s all goodlmao.

I wonder why no other teams were interested in him. Wasn't he the first draft pick or something?
