I see you take Damp's defense and rebounding for granted. You should know how poor we are when there is no center on the court. We tried the no center thing with Walker, Van Horn, and Bass. All of them failed because no one is physical enough to challenge shots or clog the middle. Maybe Gortat would've been better to Dampier but don't make it like Dampier is some horrible center. Also Dampier is very good at setting picks to get people open.

Agreed. Dampier does a lot of the "little things" very well. His ability to clog the lane and prevent drivers from penetrating is very helpful. Simply go back and watch the series last year between Dallas and New Orleans. To start the game, it was always a dogfight, usually with the Mavs coming out ahead by a good 5 or 10 points. Then once Dampier went out... Chandler and CP3 would go nuts.

Of course I would rather have someone better, but he's not as bad as people make him out to be.

I'm not a ''small ball'' fan dude,so don't tell me about how bad other undersized forwards are playing as 5's.I agree.
I just want another center beacause Damp is garbage imho(ok we don't agree,I can't change your opinion and you can't change mine).

BTW our most effective lineup last year was with Dirk+Bass as PF+C.

PS:Setting screens to just get people open ISN'T a great ability.
Setting picks and make easy buckets from pick'n'roll situations IS a great ability.And Damp has no idea what pick'n'roll means(beacause he is slower than a turtle and can't catch).
