We got A Boner for you.
Agree 100%. No excuses, whatever the outcome. That's the Spurs' way.
actually Odom leaving might not be as absurd as thought if recent reports about only 3 years $27 million offered are true. That makes taking the MLE for 5 years not a ridiculous option for Odom if he really wants a 5 year contract.
All this said he probably goes back to the Lakers
I don't see Odom going anywhere, but he might wind up making less money with L.A. than if he'd signed their offer.
What excuses? The Lakers curb stomped SA in the playoffs last year without TWO STARTERS and Odom playing like a complete turd. Lamar will never be the difference when it comes to San Antonio.
and you think the Spurs were healthy? Manu bad ankle ring any bells, avg about 5 PPG in that series, the one game he does score 15 + the Spurs win, so do the math.
Bynum can't stay in game without getting into foul trouble, Ariza is really your only excuse.
this is a dumbass post.Ever heard of reality?
He means for this year you dip .
Isn't that a channel on TV?
@ curb stomped, these Laker fans are delusional (Stern is out to get them
)
agreed. odom's camp is doing everything that it can to regain some leverage and force the lakers to bid against themselves. the lakers, meanwhile, are full of it with their contract coming "off the table." if odom came to them and said he wanted that deal now, cup-check would whip that deal back out so fast that it would give him whiplash.
unfortunately, ESPN (who has never been great about it, but has gotten really bad over the last year+) is treating every angle/rumor as if it's gospel.
Yeah I agree Lakers are are gonna try to keep him, but Odom's play is good one day and sucks the next.
It dosen't matter the Lakers (AHEM....) the Refs are the team or teams to beat!
Manu scored 30+ that game re . Time to retake that basic math course you failed in grade school.
Waaaah, Manu's ankle. Healthy enough to play over 30 min on average the entire series. Keep up those excuses.
He can when he's healthy. And he guards Duncan as well as any big man in the entire NBA.
You're the only one making excuses here. Spurs fan is good at that.
Self-ownage in two consecutive sentences? That's new.
Lakers looking for a big man eh? Maybe Bonner for Kobe? Oh wait Spurs wouldent do that![]()
Injuries are never an excuse for losing. Health is part of the game. That said...when Radmano can effectively guard Manu, that's air-tight beyond a reasonable doubt proof that he's nowhere near 100%
If Manu was as injured as you said he should never have played. That's pure stupidity on his part and by your entire organization.
The odds of us seeing a healthy Spur team are starting to look like that of the Rockets.
You can't pull the injury card when your main cogs are on the downhill of their careers. It's just something that happens with age, both Duncan and Manu are old and their bodies can't take a brutal NBA regular season and a deep post season.
Could Odom return to a former NBA employer? It is not a foregone conclusion that Lamar Odom and his agent are going to remain in LA as once thought. Enter Pat Riley and the Miami Heat and team he is familiar with and had a bit of success as an emerging Dwayne Wade broke out a few years ago. Also in the equation is a soon to be traded Carlos Boozer in which the Heat are said to be looking to add also. Throw in Wade, Beasley, Boozer, Odom and possibly a trade for Haslem to bring in some depth and you could possibly have a formidable team. Albeit, Wade and Boozer are somewhat injury prone. Looks like the Lakers pulling the offer off the table will backfire or atleast it's possible. Could Kobe be fuming about this situation when he refused to opt out in hope to defend his le? More in the coming days I'm sure.
Isn't manu the same age as Kobe?
Kobe will be 31 in August.
Manu will be 32 the end of July.
because players don't play injured in the playoffs
dumbass
Kobe 31, Manu 32, Duncan 33The odds of us seeing a healthy Spur team are starting to look like that of the Rockets.

again, dumbass
Age does not correlate perfectly with physical health for all human beings.
Kobe Bryant is a physical specimen. He has kept in tip top shape his entire life and has showed very little signs of breaking down. He played in all 82 games last season. Gasol is very durable as well.
Neither Ginobili nor Duncan have shown any indication in the last two seasons that their bodies can take the beating of a brutal NBA season and a deep post season. That won't magically get better as they age even more. The proof is in the pudding, Duncan is sitting out back to back games. Tell me what athlete in great physical shape would do that?
I'm pretty sure Kobe will start breaking down. The Devil's power is only so strong.
a camby for odom deal could work. their salaries are close enough as well.
