I wouldn't mind having any of their centers, whether its Camby, DeAndre Jordan, or Kaman. They are all upgrades over Dampier. But I would like Kaman the most.
[yes he does periodically.[/quote]
This was all I needed![]()

Yeah it'd be pretty sweet to land Kaman. But we need to add talent in order to contend without losing it, and JET was easily our 2nd best player for the entire regular season. If we can get him for scrubs in a salary dump then I'm all for it
No idea. Just speculating.

I think between adding Wafer and Daniels, thats more than enough to make up JETs absence. You get 2 athletic scorers (both of whom can drop 20 any given night), one who can shoot incredibly well, the other can slash and penetrate very well. And they both have size and youth on their side.
From the standpoint that Dampier played way more games and had a higher PER, yes I think it can be said Dampier had a better year than Kaman. I'll take 80 games of Dampier over 50 or so games of Kaman (too lazy too look up exact numbers).
He had a pretty high turnover rate, injury, and marginal FTA/FG ratio / FG % for a big man.
I wouldn't give up core pieces for him. The difference between Terry and Von wafer is greater than the difference between Kaman and Dampier.
Dampier can't do the things that Kaman can provide for the Mavs that they need (consistency, low post scoring).
Von Wafter CAN do the things that Terry provides for the Mavs that they need (3pt shooting, scoring)
Needs of the team is more important than how good the players are.
lol, he's not taking the vet minimum.
If no one else gives him anything, he's probably going to have to take something small like that.
Not saying he's going to take it, but he's definitely not going to get much.
Wafer + Daniels > JET
