Did you guys notice how beno kept ignoring him and would pass it clear across the court to avoid passing it to him? Hahaha, he was getting the cold shoulder from our rookie point guard.

I noticed that too and there was a 4 or 5 minute stretch during the 4th quarter where Big Dog did not even touch the ball.

    beno needs to grow up
I think he thinks spurs might trade him if big dog works out and have barry play backup point

That's the biggest crap I've ever read. It would never even cross Beno's mind to think that if GRob is successful he might get traded. That's utterly ridiculous.

not giving the ball to big dog for 5 minutes is stupid
spurs wanted to see what he can do
I am surprised pop did not bench beno or call timeout and tell beno to let big dog get some touches
spurs need to see what he can do

First of all, he did touch the ball. Secondly, they were running plays according to instructions and trying to win a basketball game. It wasn't a try out for GRob to just launch shots. They know he can hit jumpers.

    yup.

I just though it was funny though, cuz beno and marks both ignored big dog on a couple plays and one of them resulted in that backcourt violation

he had his hands at his chest the entire time waiting to catch and shoot

I bet number 3 has 30 points tommorow vs the mavs

    lol
btw, thats awesome how he has JAX's old number.
it's a sign of his future playoff clutchness.

He's like Ron Mercer in that sense -- always wanting to shoot. Hopefully things will turn out better for him in S.A. than they did with Mercer. All he has to do is be dedicated and be a good teammate.

I think we can count on that. It's pretty much impossible to be a bad teammate on this team. Everyone gets touches. Plus he's old enough to realize and accept if he plays like crap hes going to sit.

If Robinson is even 75-80% of himself and accepts getting 15-20 minutes a night, and Duncan is healthy, the Spurs will be officially unbeatable.

Unless Pop starts playing Rotation Bizzaro.

, I can't believe I just jinxed them like that.

Did you have mention Mercer in my topic? Where the did that come from?

How about he was calling for the ball, because he was the best scorer on the floor at the time, he was unguarded and Beno and Marks are nobodys??????

    Glen Robinson is a 20 ppg C A R E E R scorer.

Beno needs to be put in time out.

Mercer is not even in the same class as G Rob.

Beno doesn't need to be put in time out, be the quiet.

Shoogar your right, if Robinson is 75 to 80 percent of what he used to be, wich I cant see why he cant be, this team is officially unbeatable.

    look at this lineup.

    Horry
    Duncan
    Barry
    Robinson
    Ginobili

    Hot damn thats some shooting.

Bizzaro rotations?? I dont see what would be bizzaro, but Bowen or Ginobili will have to sacrifice some minutes.

IMO, thats where Robinson comes in.

Rest Manu in the first half, let Robinson get the bulk of the minutes, let manu be rested up and dominate in the end of the 3rd and 4th quarters.

Duncan has to be down right in giddy to get back to playing.

I think Bowen will always play 32+ mpg in the post season unless the Spurs are involved in blowouts. So I don't think GRob cuts into his minutes. How many minutes per game do you see Robinson averaging into the playoffs? 15? 20?

What? Robinson is a Shooting Guard now?

How bout sending Rasho into Cotton Candy sales?

Then play Robinson Marks and Duncan down low and rotate...........

Manu, Parker, Barry, Bowen and I can't believe I am saying this... Beno......

DBrown is gone and that sucks. But its time to drive on.

Robinson isn't a power forward. He's a small forward -- he doesn't play very much down low. And the coaching staff believes Rasho is their best interior defender, so he isn't going anywhere.

Did they not see Shaq go 80% in last year's playoffs?

    How quickly one forgets.

Rasho is a stiff. He has proven in every playoff season he has been in.

I think the coaches know this and they were hoping to patch it up with Nazr and it ain't happening.

    Marks is better than Rasho.

They didn't bring Nazr here for any defensive reasons.
